Satruday Cow Town Ryde

To all who showed up for the ryde. MY DEEPEST HEARFELT APPOLOGIES TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!! Due to heat I decided to not go( also you were going into St Louis area and I don't DO ST LOUIS!!! only under duress and in a cage!!!!ray My mistake was I did NOT show up even in my Truckpps:!!!!( has AC) I called Len but he didn't answer his voice mail so figured you were out on the ryde already and he'd check it when he stopped, and let you know why I wasn't there. :helpsmilie:For those who may not have seen another post I put in, I was hit HARD by heat exhaustion on Fri from Thursdays fun in the sun ryding and then hit again on Friday eve for doing it again!!!!! THEN Cramps!!!!! which led to Diarreaha which led to more cramps!!!!!! Friday evening!!!! I know that's more info than you want but it's what happened. I know I should have CALLED SOMEONE!!!!!! to let em Know I wasn't coming. BUT didn't KNOW THAT till the AM at 0900 when I woke up with more CRAMPS!!!! etc etc etc!!!! Spent most of the day in the bathroom!!!! WAS NOT A GOOD DAY!!!!nojokeSooo am sending this for all the world to see that I have TOTALLY lost my mind and manners thru Stupidity( Which my family has NONE as I have it all!!!) and APPOLOGIZE up one side and down the other. Don't know how to make it up to you all!! I will try tho. Am leaving the 10 or 11th of Sep for Wi so make up will have to wait till when I get back. Again I am SOOOOO SORRY??!!!!pps:=(

No apoligy needed several layed out because of heat, several more of us wished we had, however we did have fun as usual. Knowing you were Ok would have been nice however I don't think we will beat you up about it. Have a safe trip and we will see you when you get back.

I missed a great deal of it however, I did run across Mo Lee and Rickey along with his beautiful wife Cathy around Potosia,,, I had just missed an ICE CREAM stop, Crap..... No big deal though cause Mo Lee was ready for another scoop once we got back to Waynesville, a fast stop at DQ and I was "Good to Go"..

Cowtown Ride

Hey Len and others on the ride...Thanks for understanding when we had to bail out on the ride...I have a hard time with the heat (I think it started when I stood in line for a hour and a half in Florida heat to get on Splash Mountain:yikes We headed down to Rolla that evening after the sun went down for supper with Tofriendscreek and enjoyed a nice ride through the country. This morning before we left I had to put my jacket on! It was good to see fellow ryders (someday I'll remember names) Hopefully we can make it down that way again before winter sets in:thumbup:

I wasn't on your Cowtown ride but I was riding from Hays, KS to Bartlesville, OK. The freekin temp reading got up to 105deg on my thermometer. I have NEVER ridden in such hot weather,:gaah: even in the middle of the Senora Desert. Hell, I don't even keep my Hot Tub temp that high.
My water in my drink holder got too hot to drink. :cus:damned global warming:yikes: I couldn't blame anyone for sitting this one out.:lecturef_smilie:

No Problem, we hated you could not continue, however we would really hate for anyone to get really sick on one of our rides. There will be more rides with better temps. I sure enjoyed visiting with everyone this month.

We did not make it either, we had other obligations we had to full fill (we are American Legion Riders too)! The heat would of been too much for me on Saturday, it was so hot again
I do not do heat very well, had my experience with Heat Exhaustion, that was enough for me, Len and a few others know I cannot stay out in the heat too long.

Waiting for cooler weather to hook-up with everyone again, hope to see you all soon

Ok ok fixed my voice mail again!!! Lol and ya it was a bit warm and with lee
wouldn't want any one sick...... And no worries to any one that had to set out, I'm a die hard and will push through and ride through most anything, so no worries to all thous using common since. I just hate to cancel for anything. I want people to know we will be riding with out fail and never have to question where we ride or not. But truely do what's right by you and see you when you can make it. Always welcome!

It was a shame that Mondays weather wasn't available for Saturday:lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie:. Linda and I rode down to the Lake of the Ozarks yesterday ........what a beautiful day. We actually had to wear the leather coats for most of the day (it was 59 degrees when we left the house at 6:30 AM).:thumbup: Looking forward to next months ryde to Branson with the MoGang:2thumbs:.
