• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Horn suggestions

Auto parts store

Have not heard many here in the US but seen alot in the auto parts stores. You can go air horns or electric. Your spyder has one single so a pair would be louder.

Air Horns have worked best for me

Love my air horns and can't tell you how important they are in riding anything on two and three wheels. Woke many people up who are texting, talking on the phone, sleeping or just bad drivers when it comes to driving. Louder is better!

WOLO Bad Boy or Stebel Nautilus.

Use a relay to power the air horn directly from the battery. Do not use the factory connections directly to the horn.

Both of these horns are pretty much the same and with the fabrication of a simple bracket, they replace the factory horn in the same location.

I got the BAD BOY horn installed this past week and I love it!!! any cages that swags anywhere near me is likely to wet their britches..

what brand did you get?

Sorry, guys, one more"dumb":opps: question, do I need to worry about any "legal" areas of the type of horn? Just asking since we got pulled over last night  for blue glo lights on my spyder in Missouri, is there a law on horns for spyders out there too? Thanks for all the info. really appreciate it.

I've got the Stebel on my RT, and I love making pedestrians that cross against the lights downtown nearly wet themselves when let it blast! Definitely feed it via a dedicated relay to guarantee a full-volume sound!

Only if you use the horn like some boy races do.:roflblack: {Excessive use}

I totally agree. Louder is better. I needed to scold a woman just today for drifting into my lane and a train horn would have been so sweet!

Spyder RT 2013 Stock Horn

BRP have upgraded some items on the 2013 RT - Suspension, Fenders, Battery location etc

Are they still fitting the same Horn that was fitted to earlier models which for most was not loud enough and many like me have fitted after market ones to improve the horn function

If and when I decide to upgrade to a later RT Model I will either have to change over my Stebel Nautilus. or purchase another one and fit it
Come to think I have so many mods on my existing Spyder RT-S 2010 Model I would need to consider if the later models are
cost effective for me to make that change and at the moment its not
