There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. RS clutch slave cylinder failure

Symptoms and cause follow:
2013 RS w. 5300 miles, observed lack of resistance when depressing clutch lever. Hyd fluid was low, filled to full mark in reservoir. 6 weeks later, same situation happened again - had to push clutch lever all the way to the handlebar to make a hard shift. Brought to dealer.
Dealer's shop determined it is a failed clutch slave cylinder. The mechanic said the o-ring seals sometimes fail, easiest to replace cylinder unit (instead of o-ring). This is about an $80 part and 2-3 hours (fortunately warranty is still in effect on my machine).
Hope this helps if you have the same issue.

I don't think there is a rebuild kit available; as unlike HDM, there aren't 100K of these units floating out there on the streets awaiting failure. However, I could be wrong, as I often am...

I have not seen a rebuild kit - you have to get all the parts needed separately. I have not seen many fail, and any leaks were mainly at the cap... Hope this gets her done...

No warranty here. Replaced leaking slave O rings last year. Including six pack... <$10.

I change the fluid in the clutch system of my '08 GS SM5 after each riding season. So far so good. (15,000 miles altogether)

I got my machine back - the culprit was a nicked O-ring on the slave cylinder.
