I continued to experience a "wobble", especially at certain speeds. After trying my wife's Spyder, which was perfectly smooth at all speeds, I decided something was not right with mine. I took it to a tire specialist and told them to remove the Ride-On and rebalance the tires to see if it would make a difference. It was then that the real problem was discovered. Both rims are bent! (Michigan potholes?) At least now I know why I had a wobble. Now I have to order more Ride-On so when I get the new rims, I can once again install it and know that I will finally get the same smooth ride that my wife enjoys!
PS I wish I would have had them save the Ride-On, I could have re-used it!
Both rims are out of round, I saw them spin them up. I didn't take the weights off right away, but then again I didn't know the rims were out of round. It was suggested to take them off when I continued to experience the wobble. I must have gotten used to the wobble because it wasn't until I took my wife's Spyder for a ride that I realized mine had a serious front end wobble! Coming back from Chicago, I thought my front fenders were going to break off!...unlikely you have two bent rims...did you take the weights off when you added the Ride-On?

Have you ever been to Michigan? The potholes are horrendous! Thinking back, I believe it actually happened in parking lot at slow speed.
13 oz. in the front?I think I put too much in as they don't seem to balance out.......
I've loved the Ride-on in my stock rims--- rydes GREAT---- just got some 6-spoke rims and I think I put too much in as they don't seem to balance out.......
If Ride-On is seeping out, air probably is, too. Likely either the tire beads were not properly seated on the rims, or the tires were damaged at the sealing surface when they were changed. The rims could be damaged, but that is less likely. Tires should be blown up to the maximum allowable pressure listed on the sidewall (I like even more) to seat them, then lowered to the correct pressure. Monitor the pressure, and if you are losing air fairly rapidly, you have a problem.Does anyone else have the Ride on seeping a little out of their tires? Not where there are any holes, just around the edge near the rims? I have the phantom black rims, which I gun metal, and it seems to work well other than the seeping.
It has nothing to do with the rims. I've had Ride-on in these rims for over a year.Fire,
That's an interesting point...we all know that the Ride-On balances the wheels with the stock rims...not sure how many have used it with the 6 spokers (ah hem, which I really like and want to get someday!!!!)...hope you get that worked out and get some good numbers for everyone...
