• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ride-On for your Spyder

for whatever the reason, service writer at discount tires i ordered falken tires were very much against the rideon. i told him i was gonna order rideon for new front tires and he was like NO DON'T GET THE RIDE ON:yikes: i am guessing he had bad experience with them but it seem like it was more than that... i asked him why not and he just said, he lived thru it and he does not recomend.:dontknow:

No matter what the brand name or if it is corrosive or not, the tire man doesnt care. For him, it is a tire full of GOOOO. No GOOOOO is good ... GOOOOO is bad. If he breaks down a tire full of GOOOOO and he is not aware if it's presance he could get it all over his expencive tire machine.
Thats why he does not like Tire GOOOOO of any kind.
As an end user, we love tire GOOOOOOO cause it does what it says it will do and we dont have to deal with the potencial mess.

I think that is where this guy is likely coming from. IMHO

All goo is not the same. Besides, unless your service writer is going to ride with you and change flats I'd say he has 'no skin in the game'.

Just my .02 and probably not worth that. But I'm a very happy Ride-On user.

Instructions are for amateurs. :roflblack:

This must be true. Here is Lamont's NEW PARTS INSTALL proceedure.

1- Completely shred packaging so there is no possibility of ever shipping it back the way it came.

2- Burn Instructions (Very Important - Do Not Skip This Step!)

3- Install new parts as many times as it takes till it looks like the picture on the shreded box, as best as he can remember. (Try to reassemble box if not already burnt with instructions to assist memory)

4- Try new part and adjust as needed (includes bending, cutting, welding, grinding, adding or throwing away pieces) until it actually works whether or not it ever ends up looking like the picture on the box.

5- Tell Ron how great it is and how he's a nerd-loser if he doesn't put one on his ride!

6- Wait till Ron buys one and installs it on his ride, then;

7- Take part off, put it on the shelf and tell Ron he didn't like it, it never worked right and he found something better that he's going to put on.

8- Just smile at Ron....

9- Repeat Process beginning at step 1.

Makes me kinda glad I don't have Lamont for my neighbor!:joke:

OK..since we are on the subject. I got my front wheels replaced today..long story..but I had Ride On in the front tires. Do I add the same amount to the tires on the new wheels??

Cause the inside of the tires were somewhat covered..I was just wondering if I should add the same amount..but what would it hurt..right?

Not a bad question, really. I assume most of the Ride-On would be in the tire and not so much on the rims.

As I understand it you had your existing tires put on new rims. The trouble is how would you know how much Ride-On you lost? (Hence the question).

Putting a bit too much in is probably no big deal. I'm thinking you probably lost less than 1/2 but you might shoot an email to Ride-On and see what they say.

I'd be curious.

Thank you for posting this... I just ordered the 6 bottle kit. I figure I might as well treat my Trailer tires while I am at it. Saves me from spending $150 for a spare and dealing with a blowout on the hwy :2thumbs::spyder2:

what happens when tires are rotated?
do you have to re-apply? i am assuming ride on is stuck to inside wall of tires but was wondering if it needs to be partially re-applied.
Never rotated my tires so I can't tell you but this is what a rear looks like after 13,000 miles.
