• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

Thought I'd check the national site to see if there was a difference. So far I'm not listed. Further down the page it states:

"There may be a delay with very recently announced safety recalls for which not all VINs have been identified. VINs are added continuously so please check regularly."

There have been documented output shafts that have broken at the pulley. Wouldn’t it be fun if the overall recall repair was the replacement of the output shaft and the pulley……………

Yeah, but they tell us 'the Fix' will only take an hour once the parts start dribbling in, some time after August 30 - and that's not the Interim Fix, which will also only take an hour, but is available from 30 June... And even if you get the Interim Fix, ALL Spyders afflicted will still need the Final Fix to satisfy the recall!!!

So I doubt that either fix involves replacing the shaft?!? :dontknow:

That would put BRP in bad financial trouble and would have many Spyder riders waiting months/years for the fix.

So, I wonder what the difference was between 2019 and 2020 that does not require it to be recalled?

It is essentially the same engine and parts, nothing changed that I know of.

Guess my 2014 is good for now. I just had the side off a couple weeks ago to put on the belt tensioner and all looked good.

My 2018 is on the list. By the end of June they will have a plan in place for fixing the problem. But not yet.

I have a 2015 F3-S and my sprocket has been replaced three times. Still have the black sprocket. Not on the list yet and if I don’t get on the list I will wonder why.

I've replaced mine on my 2015 F3-S as well - and keep a spare on hand. As of right now mine and my wife's 2019 RTL are both not on the list online - but I'm not sure I trust that yet. I've not called the dealer yet to have them check.

I asked the local dealer to check, and my 2019 RTL is on the list for this recall.

No telling when the parts might be available though. Their status is "pending".

My 2015sm6 with 22,200 miles Not on as of 29 May But I have the sprocket and bolt ready for when I get towed home.
