• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Random thought for the day

I'd take a VERY close look at that Spanish moss before wiping my behind with it!

You ever see all the bugs that live in that stuff?
Anybody that lives where Spanish moss grows already knows the red bugs live in the grass on the ground and you don't use any moss that has been on the ground. There are not any red bugs in the live moss hanging on the trees. You pull down the fresh moss for toilet paper.

Um, no. You do, not me. :ROFLMAO:

"Are there bugs in Spanish moss"

Yes, Spanish moss often harbors various, mostly harmless creatures like spiders, mites, and moths, and is a known hiding spot for chiggers (redbugs). While often rumored to infest the hanging plant with, it is generally believed that chiggers only invade Spanish moss once it touches the ground, making it safer while hanging.

A bit of a contradictory statement, eh? "Making it safer while hanging"? Safer for what exactly? ;)

A few red bugs won't hurt you even if they got on you. You can get them just from walking through tall grass and bushes. You can walk 2 miles to the nearest bathroom from where you are set up in the dove field waiting for them to come in if you want to. I will take care of my business in the fence row side of the field and get back to hunting. Might have a couple of paper towels with me and might not. I will use what I have to and get back to hunting. Been doing it all my life. We didn't even even have an indoor bathroom until I was about 10 years old. Had an old wooden outhouse 100 yards from the back porch. It was cold out there on the mornings when there was frost in winter. Wasn't no toilet paper in there. Had one of the big, thick Tampa telephone books in there to rip a page out of. Don't guess very many people ever had to use the tiny little packet of toilet paper that came included in every box of C-Rations either. People are spoiled now and gotta have Chamin or Angel Soft or something.

Oceola Nation Forest covers 250,000 acres close to where I live in Florida. Ain't nothing in there but a ranger station and a couple Forestry yards with fire fighting equipment. All the rest is pine flatwoods and swamps. I guarantee you all the vehicles pulled off the sides of the grades in there are not walking into the underbrush to get a closer look at the wild life or bird watching.
