RAMP FOR OIL CHANGES

Will this work for oil changes on my 14 RTS, if not ill use it for my other car? Do I need a M/C lift or will ramps suffice?

I use the ramps. Most will say you need to keep the bike level. I haven't found a problem in draining either the engine or transmission.

Unless I missed it, it would have been nice if they told you how much it lifted the wheel .....they do look like a good buy.................Mike ............But consider this ...I bought a jack at Sears for $70 ( yes it was on sale , but it goes on sale often ) that lifts the entire Spyder 17 inches and takes up less room than those ramps...........just sayin.....Mike :thumbup:....................And the jack above mentioned by SAPD911 is very often on sale for 69.99.......I have one of those also and it's really nice and handy

I'd pick up a second set of them...
...using one of them, to make sure that the rear wheel is up in the air also; levelling the bike! :thumbup:

Would there be enough clearance under the spyder for the rear ramp???

If not ... Maybe position them behind the wheels and back on the ramps.

I have been contemplating getting ramps as well. The plastic ones at HF are just high enough I think to get a drain pan in there. My concern would be if ramps would slide on you as you try to back up on them.

I've been changing the oil in our RTS' for awhile now. I haven't had to use a lift or ramps yet. The drain pan I use fits under the Spyder. Having said that, ours are SM not SE.
