• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Problem I haven't seen on the site.

Same inside my cluster of gauges

On the inside of the plexi cover, is a streak of some liquid that ran across the cover diagonally.

I have tried gently cleaning it, trying not to scratch the surface, thinking it was on the exterior, but it does not budge. You eventually just get used to anything.

Not my concern anymore, pass it on...

 :gaah:
I don't think that's what we're looking for in here... :banghead:

But you sure know how to build up to a dramatic ending! :D

IT IS NOT repairable I believe it is the glue used to bond the clear plexi to the plastic. :p You have been hangin' out with the wrong people waaaay too much lately you are starting to act like them.

While that's possible; it's pretty unlkely... :D
I DO recall folks in here mentioning that it is a replaceable lens.
If it's replaceable; it's reasonable to assume that it's removeable too!

WOW

It is replaceable, part number 415129349 and comes with a new rubber gasket as well. It just snaps on no glue involved.

Then it is a defective lens mine sure looked like glue and yes it is easy enough to disassemble after disconnecting the wires. Did not go any further once I touched it and found it to be some type of dried material. @ 600mi. taking it to the dealer so they can order a replacement is the way to go.

I have about 600 miles on my 14 RT LTD. Running around town yesterday I noticed what looked like some type of fluid on the inside of my Tach and speedometer gauges. After closer inspection it is not water...looks almost like some type of heavier liquid. It was very slowly running down the inside of the gauge cover. Anybody seen this before?:dontknow:

YYes, take to dealer and have them use BRP to warrant replacement. It is a glare covering that did not get done right at the producers.

I just got a new 2014 2 days ago and noticed it when I got home. I will get it replaced under warranty...thanks for the part #. Kinda pisses one off...if this has been an issue since 2009....why is it still an issue ? It costs CanAm more to replace it then if it was done right the first time.

I also dont like Techs working on my machines....I have little confidence in them. My CanAm dealer is new to the Spyder...so Techs have little experience working on them. :banghead:

Thanks again for all the info here guys and gals !
