There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Pre Season Oil Change

Bogie

So I brave the 27 degree weather yesterday morning (Saturday) to take my 2014 RT in for an oil change to start the season.
When I get it back home I notice oil dripping from the underside of the chassis in a number of areas.
Check the oil level and it reads on "min". It almost looks as if they spilled 1/2 quart all over the place.
Now I am concerned to ride it. Tomorrow (Monday) I will call the dealer back and complain about the oil all over the floor of my garage
and ask them to determine what is leaking. I have parked it in the same place for 2 years and never had a drop of oil on the floor.
Sorry for venting,

Very aggravating

Sorry to hear about that. You hit the nail on the head why I decided to do my own this year, I saved a few buck but more importantly I learned a ton about my spyder and I know it was done to my standards. I was very pleased at how simple it turned out to be after watching a couple of the youtube videos and just taking my time.

I had purchase a 2 year plan (whenI bought the Spyder) for all the regular maintenance schedules and free oil changes for 2 years. My 2 years is almost up and that is why I took it in. The dealer has always performed the oil changes prior with no issues. I may just decide to do my own as well now. I am just a little apprehensive about removing the body panels.

Possibly Correctly but Poorly Done

If the technician followed the correct initial fill amount of 5 qt the oil level is at the proper point on the dipstick. OTOH, the oil on your garage floor may be because the tech let some run into a frame member when draining the oil and neglected to wipe off the mess he made.

You tube for body panels

That makes sense, seeing as though you paid for the maintenance you should use it.

FYI, there is also a real good you tube video for the body panel removed. Shows the proper sequence and gives a few good tips for keeping track of the hardware as you disassemble. Let me know if you can't find it, I think I may have tagged it for future reference.

Bummer...

I would take it back and have them clean it up and recheck everything. The dripping more than likely is residual oil from the change. I remove all the panels and clean the engine and panels from road crud. You don't have to but if you spill oil and the panels are on it will pool and then dribble. Hope that is what happened in your case. Seen it many times :gaah:make sure you check the oil as indicated in your manual min hot would mean you need to add some...

They are picking it tomorrow at my home and taking it back to check.
I wonder if they didn't drain both plugs and overfilled?
