• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pet Name "Sandra"

I would like to apologise for using the pet name "Sandra" in reference to my F3 too many times on SL. Its a childhood thing that started from the age of 7, when I started giving pet names to my toy cars and it carried on into my adult life giving pet names to all the cars I have ever owned. I will now use the words "Spyder" or "F3-S" on SL only, to respect the site and other contributors.
Elsewhere on other sites, family, friends etc the pet name "Sandra" will be used.

Darren,
You can call your bike whatever you want to; don't let anybody tell you otherwise! :2thumbs:
No explanations are needed either! You're among friends!

Call her whatever you want. Oh no, I may have just offended someone by referring to your Spyder as a female. Really, I'm not the PC type, just look at my screen name.

No biggie

You post however you want dude! I do admit that it took me a second to figure out that Sandra was your trike, but that wasn't a steep learning curve! I think you should post like you would speak...That adds personality to the conversations and keeps this forum interesting and lively!

Take care of you and Sandra!

~Bud~

I can't see where or why that would offend anyone. And if it does, too darn bad!:roflblack:

Trike Name

Most of the bikes have spoken to me and told me their names and defined their personality.
My, new to me, STS is remaining quiet and not yet communicating.
When she is ready she will make here identifier known.
Take care of Sandra...
Cheers,

Really? If "Sandra" offends anyone, I can only imagine the response to another member's Spyder named "Fat White Chick". Mine happens to be "Great White". Hope I don't offend any "Shark Huggers". Somebody needs to get a grip. Oh, and by the way, no need to apologize.

Sandra is a very nice name...I hope my Charlotte meets Sandra sometime in the future

and my past mistresses Sophia, Samantha, & Isabella send their regards

the way I see it, anything or anyone I ride hard should have a name

I do not see any apology needed Darren. Maybe someday, the Nannerbike, and Baby will meet up with Sandra. They can have a drink of petrol together while we have some fish & chips.:yes:

I for one have enjoyed the enthusiasem you have shown before your purchase and the continuation after.

We look forward to your continued posts. :firstplace:

Even though my Spyder doesn't have a name (and I think I'll add ) yet, I have to solidly agree with all of the above posts. I'd say call Sandra what ever you like, but you might offend her.

Sandra seems like a good name to me. You should call your bike and car anything you want.

I personally don't name my vehicles, but my wife does. She refers to my '08 ST SM5 as "It". As in , "I can't believe you bought It". "I can't believe you won't sell It". "I can't believe your going to waste your Saturday riding It". :doorag:

I guess I should start calling it "It". Cuz, I LOVE IT!!!!

Darren

What in the Sam Hill is going on here. If you name your bike that is Great! My wife and I named ours Buster, after Buster Posey! Having a name brings life to an otherwise inanimate object and gives it a personality! Quite frankly, unless you continue to refer to Sandra by name, I will not read any of your posts!:roflblack::roflblack:......and frankly if somone on this list gave you grief for it, you should out them right now! You won't do that though because you have too much class!

Based upon your logic; mine might have to be called, "That Damned Thing..."

Check your receipt

Darren, if you look closely on the receipt that YOU received when YOU paid for YOUR new bike it clearly states YOU get to name her.

Say hey to Sandra for me......
