• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pet Name "Sandra"

What about your 'Vette? :dontknow:

I am still in the naming process for him/her................ my hubby just ordered me some Billy Boats performance exhausts for him/her.......... so I waiting on those to arrive & get installed & then
listen to his new *voice* & then will name him/her

yeppers me too............... he said he is going to do a before & after video & post to his youtube.

once he does it I will definitely let ya know.

Been thinkin' 'bout callin' mine "Singer."

Why? :dontknow:

Because that 1330 with stock exhaust sounds just like a "Souped-Up Sewing Machine," as I tell most folks. :doorag:

Based upon your logic; mine might have to be called, "That Damned Thing..."
You could just call it "TDT" for short. Except that it's hard to say three times fast. But that's not your fault, if the Misses is the one who named it. ;)

Inquiring busybodies would like to know..........
who gave you grief about beautiful Sandra

Ok im not for sure but i think this was me. And before you all start bagging on me my comment was misunderstood and i was joking! I have no problem with the name, or him naming it. What i said was on this site its fine but if you were to walk around talking to the neighbors and referring to it by name multiple times in a sentence they might think you are that odd guy who lives on the corner if you know what i mean. I certainly did not mean to make anyone feel bad i was just kidding and sent him a PM after seeing this post. Ok let the bagging begin :banghead:

Nobody's going to beat on you for what you said...
And if Darren is good with it; so are we!

Merry Christmas!! :yes::yes::yes:

Things of beauty, grace and speed are often named in the female vernacular....:thumbup::thumbup:

p.s. mine is called for my favourite album

Motor Mame

Wow and Thank You

Hello everyone,

I didn't expect so many replies and I would like to thank you all for those because they made me smile, giggle and laugh. Laytony it wasn't your reply and I did "like it" and "thank it" and when I read your reply it put a smile on my face. I started this post based on a private message sent to me(no names mentioned) yesterday on SL and my first reaction was to apologise, but since reading all your replies, I now know that I haven't done anything wrong and its ok to be still excited about my pride and joy which is my Can Am Spyder F3-S. Spyderlovers is my bible, handbook and best friend and is the perfect recipe for any newbie like myself new to Spyder ownership with the guarantees of fun and excitement and I have definitely had that in 1000 miles so far.
A MASSIVE shout out to all you Spyder owners, lovers, admirers and the man who started this site Lamonster.:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

I've always given my computers names although Wanda the Honda does come to mind and Emma Zed of three wheel fame has moved me :) too:)

OK! I admit it....

T'was I! A bit of friendly advice to a newbie which IMHO holds good until folks get to know him a little better.
I also advised him not to "Like" and "Thank" for quite so many posts, some of which were well outside of his field of experience.
Because he's new and like a sponge for knowledge for everything "Spyder" I should have known better maybe.

I built a cafe raced Norton years ago called Daisy!
Right I'm off out to give Mary a rub down with a wet, soapy cloth.....Lucky ol' me eh? :yikes: :joke:

Dad

Geoff (OJ UK) is like a Dad to me and I am so happy to have met him twice and take on board his advice about Spyder ownership. Geoff just to let you know I bought some microfibre towels , microfibre wash mitts, chamois and tyre shine. I am yet to get the Fenwicks product you recommended too for washing the spyder.
