Parts left over after oil change

I finished my oil change, and everything seems to be ok. But I found these parts left over afterwards.

Just kidding. I replaced the OEM plugs with the Dimple Magnetic Plugs.
Sorry, I get silly after a couple glasses of wine :dg2:

If those are junk, pitch. If not, sometimes folks ruin their drain plugs and need one. Of course, I have 6 of them, waiting for somebody to need one.....

Thw OEM plug do have magnets also but not a strong. Plus some people have stripped out the OEM plugs trying to get them off because they use an allen or torx to remove them and are tight. You have to make sure you are using the correct bit and it is seated all the way in to not strip it out. The aftermarket plugs just require regular sockets.

Some other recent posting had a guy wondering why we bother to spend the money for good, HEX drive,quality magnet drain plugs. Well we do.
I also have a pair of OEM plugs if anyone needs a setnojoke

I went with the Dimple plugs at my first oil change. So I also have a set of the OEM plugs.

I also had FOUND Extra part inside the oil pan magnet. See the attached photo and tell where it belongs and hopefully it was not an indication that the engine is self destroying from the inside. Maybe it was dropped in during manufacturing and nobody noticed or so I hope.

Anyone have a close up of their dimple plug?
It looks to me from web pictures that a lot of material was removed to make room for that magnet, weakening the thread area.
Show Chrome from LaMonster has a smaller magnet and more metal to support the threads. The OEM would be strongest in the thread area, but weakest in the hollow torx area.
Any input? Leaning toward the LaMonster ShowChrome.
Or, getting the OEM plugs out and having Torx/Hex bits brazed/welded permanently into them with 3/8 drive.
BTW, the VIM kit is great for robust torx bits. Been using those for a while, they just work and last.
