• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Optional Production Windshield

I would like a taller and, if possible, wider windshield for my RT-S. I'm 6'4" and prefer to look through the windshield.

The Can-Am accessories catalog lists an optional production windshield that is 27"h x 25"w. P/N 705003777

It states that this windshield is stock on the MY10.

What's an MY10?

The windshield on my RT-S measures 25" high. It's 24" wide at the widest, near the bottom.

So, if I selected the optional production windshield, I would pick up only 2" in height and 1" in width.

Anyone aware of other options for a taller and wider windshield?

I had a nice Cee Bailey's windshield on my GL1800, so I will have to give them a call and see what they might have for the RT-S.

Thanks ...

On the home page here there is a sponsor ESI go there they have a windshield that is 3" taller and 2.5" wider

I have a MY10 that i removed and replaced with a 3" shorter F4. Make me an offer I can't resist. It's like new.

Any buffeting issues with the extra height & width ?

The "ESI Tall Wide Touring Windshield" was the first mod I made on my 2010 RT-S. I am 6'1" and I didn't like looking at the top of the windscreen or the feeling of the wind hitting me on the top and side of my head. Most of the time I don't notice a problem with buffeting, though I think it is a trade-off where I prefer that the windscreen get hit by the wind rather than my head. Others have a different preference about that.
