Well the time has come for my F3s customization. Been scheming this since I bought it and drove home from Spyderfest. So many ideas, the hard part is to pick and choose a set that work well together. Sure hope I get this right....

First step in any project like this is to take all your clothes off:

Next stop is the dress shop for some new duds.....

One odd thing I learned about the F3 so far, if you plug the instrument cluster back in up top, the nanny is perfectly happy to start and run in the naked condition. The RT will not due to sensors in the frunk module etc.

Stopped by body shop yesterday. Prep work and repair is nearly complete. Will be in paint shop today. They panels should be ready by COB tues.

Yes, bit of repair on the front grille surround. It had been run into something and 'touched up' before I purchased, unknown to me until I removed the panel. Its getting fixed up good as new and will have a bump skid under it soon.

Been in contact with MotorcycleDave on doing a custom seat. This looks promising too. Purchased 'used' stock F3 seat from another member here and its on the way. Will rework that one so I don't have to be without the bike for weeks.

Been working on rear LED stop/tail lighting while the body work is going on. Parts from all over coming it. Wife says every day is Christmas around here

I so like the look of that swingarm and wish I had one to test fit on out 14 RTs.

Ours looks like a wishbone from a skinny chicken at KFC...The F3 looks like something off a reptile in a museum, say a T Rex...

Curious to see the end result.

I am hoping JThornton (or another vendor) comes up with a replacement air cleaner assembly for the 1330 like he did for the 998. The restriction in the air intake is the filter box and snorkel, not the air cleaner element. I will not have oiled gauze filters on my equipment. Been there, done that, experienced the engine damage.

Chupaca has an interesting home-made Ram Air Intake system on his Spyder... I wonder if he can provide some ideas for how to do something similar for the F3.

His Ram Air intake goes through the fog light spots. Here's a picture of his setup.

Ok, she has been naked in the garage long enough. Brought home her new clothes today. Will be installing them and reassembing the bike over the next day or so. Will post more pics as we go. Then will be a week or more for the paint to harden before I can get the graphics applied.
