• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now that I have a trailer, what to use on the floor?

Thinking an epoxy paint, linseed oil or??? Just to resist water, oil, and the like. Thanks

What material is the floor made of......metal or wood ?

You need to be real careful with this because most anything you put on it will make it slick under some conditions.
While riding the Spyder on and off might not be a problem, if you use it for anything else a slippery footing might cause injuries.

Truck bed coating

I used Rustoleum truck bed coating for the floor of my enclosed trailer. It has a texture to it that keeps it from becoming slippery and it wears like iron. The best price I found was about 55 dollars a gallon at Wally world.com.

I use a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet, Velcro it down in the corners and when it starts to look crappy, I cut out another piece while using the old one as a template. cheap and keeps stuff from sliding around if packed properly. Good luck! Mac:doorag:

Floor of trailers

I went to Home Depot and got a non-skid paint and painted the wooden floor.. It has worked great!

Ended up going to Lowe’s and getting similar. Guy there said that’s what he did on his also and it has worked good for him. Thanks for the input guys!

:agree:This is what I did for my open trailer. Worked very well. I used this after putting about 3 coats of stain on the floor. I did not use the truck bed coating on the entire trailer floor, just the areas that I would be riding the bike up.

On our enclosed wooden floor trailer, I used some good quality water based paint with a product called Shark Grip added to it. It gives the paint a sandpaper type surface. I have ridden our bykes up the painted ramp in pouring rain, snow and ice, and have yet to loose traction. Sherwin Williams sells it. Not bad $$$ wise. Don't buy the paint they suggest. It's $90 a gallon. I went to Lowes and got it for about $15.

Avoid slippery

To avoid slippery, throw sand on it and paint over. So first coat, throw sand, let it dry. Second coat.

This is what I ended up painting it with
