Yes, it is about me. They are not going thru what I am going thru now.

It has been very stressful since I got the news ( last month). There are days I feel mentally drained and tired. I want my severance package, so I can move on with my life. I wont get my severance package until Dec 28th, 2018.

I got an email from an H.R. person today, saying she is waiting for $$$ approval ( for my work experience and job knowledge, and years that I been where I am at). She will get back to me, when she finds out what the $$$ will be.

Deanna, some of us have experienced loss of income, security, stability and certainty. My empathy is very real.

Good Luck! I know its no fun starting over and going thru job interviews.

Still amazed the questions they ask sometimes or lack of questions.

I found myself over prepared for some and under prepared for others ,but it did help polish my interview skills.

Anyway I think you will get two weeks severance for every year you been there.

Whatever severance package they offer you, make sure that you take it to an labour lawyer to make sure that it is all that you are owed. Most times employers will offer much less than you are owed. Of course, it all depends on the labour laws for your state.
Just remember, that what the law states will only be the minimum you are entitled to. They never state the maximum you are entitled to. Only an employment lawyer can tell you that.

Latest update about my interview

Here is the latest update about my interview that I had today, The company is called Revision -Eye wear. They supply the armed forces/ law enforcement/ Special Operations with helmets, goggles etc.


They have 2 manufacturing plants in Vermont. They have won several awards and just got a very large contract with the army. Look up revisionmilitary.com for more info. They partner w/numerous organizations such as Special Operations Warriors Foundations, Blind Veterans U.K. Team Army.




The interview went very well. Next step is waiting until Dec. ( first week) to hear from the Production Supervisor about the job that I applied for.

They also mentioned a Quality Control job ( which would be Monday to Friday). I said I would be interested in that also, since I have Quality Control experience.

They asked me about $$$. They have a great benefit package. The job that I applied for is day shift. ( 12 hours).
