• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Next week Monday I have an other job interview. More information to follow.

I know it will happen.

It has been very stressful, and mentally/ emotionally drained.

Latest up date 12/10/2018:

I got an email from a company that I had had an interview at and they said: that all of the day shifts are full" but he will keep my resume and cover letter on file, so if a day position opens up, he will let me know.

It is very frustrating, stressful, and my emotions are over the place. So today I went to an other place, for a catch-up conversation and they said that the starting rate is way less then what I am making now. Yes, I am spoiled at my hourly rate, benefits that I currently have, until my termination day which is Jan 4th, 2019.

Bummer. When I lost my corporate job in 1993, I took advantage of the outplacement services and went to see a psychologist. She suggested I look at the situation as an opportunity to do something I'd never previously had the chance to do because I was so tied to my job. A month later I was on my way to Russia for a month traveling that mysterious country. It changed forever the way I viewed my life.

Unfortunately sometimes you may have to take what you dont want to get your foot in the door until something better comes along.

Hang in there, plenty of jobs out there.

Latest job hunting update 12/14/2018

I know haven't been on this site as much because I've been hitting the pavement for jobs, and I have been putting my resume and cover out to places that are hiring.

Well today, I turned in my ID badge at my previous work place. But I am still on the company payroll, until Jan, 4th, 2019.

I have also been getting things caught up, since I have been putting my mine focus on getting a job.

Well, this week I summited a resume, and the employer gave me a call, and they are interested in me, so I have an other interview on Monday, @ 1:00.

More info to follow.

I know I'll find something it takes time, and I am in a holding pattern right now, I am waiting until Jan 4th( my termination date) 2019, to get released.

Then I'll be available to start work on Jan. 7th, 2019.

Now I'm getting my feet back on the ground, it has been a very stressful, mentally, physically drained.
keep sending your hopes/ vibes my way.

Deanna, you and I have never met, therefore we don't know each other except through SpyderLovers, but I'll put my nose in your business anyway. Give this some thought...………..

Now might be a good time to evaluate life as it is and life as you would want it to be. And running your own business may be the ticket.

For instance: my daughter who has a master's degree worked for quite a few years at a job she really enjoyed, but the stress got too great and she burned out in her mid-forties. She re-evaluated what she wanted in life and decided to buy into a magazine franchise and for about 5 years has been self employed as a publisher. Sure there can be a lot of work and some stressful times, but over-all, having control over her life has really changed her life for the better and she loves it.

Me, I wasn't so bright. For many years I wanted to run my own business and in fact did run a motorcycle tour business for a few years, but never "really" took the plunge. Until age 70 when I decided I no longer needed to have a boss and retired form the workforce. Then I started my own business, working when and if I not fishing, hunting, or whatever, and I should have done it 30 years ago! A few days ago I renewed my certifications for 3 more years and my E/O/liability ins for another year. At 73, I still enjoy it and plan to keep at until it's no longer fun.

Just a thought to consider.

HI,

I know we have not met in person, except on this site, Spyderlovers.com.
I am using this time to get my emotions back on track/or on the road sort of speak. My emotions have been all over the place.

I am going to stay in the manufacturing field( that is where the money is per hour) and I have 19 years in the manufacturing field( Quality Control, and working on the production lines and etc.). I also have only 6 more years in the work force until I reach retirement.

Thanks for your 2 cents.
I am going to do what is best for me.

Newest job info update 12/17/2018

I had an job interview today, and it went well.

They asked me how much $$$$ I am looking for.

I made them an offer, just waiting to here back from them about $$$ offer.

On my resume I put when I was able to start work, it said not until Jan, 5th,6th, 7th, 2019.

One of the Production Managers said "That is too bad " that I can't start until then. I'm still on the payroll until Jan. 4th, 2019 ( that is my termination date).

More information to come.

If you did get the job that would put it around the two week to give your old job notice anyway. Not sure they would say too bad on the dates.

well anyway hope it works out!

12 hour shifts not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing???

Keep sending good thoughts my way for the jobs.

It is 12 hour shifts.

Deanna

Thanks for the updates, Deanna.

Continuing to pray for a good outcome for you.

With 12-hour shifts, do you work only 3 days/week? That would be cool.

Deanna, ad my name on the list of those sorry to hear of your job loss and well wishers. I know something will turn up for you. Keep up being positive. Dale
