• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

local deal will NOT get any more business from me

but

BALD you say that its not fair to the dealer. well lets look at this. I get a quote for $120 by the service guy and the service manger doesnt back that price. Is that FAIR? Is it FAIR to me that I had to go out of my way to talk to the Owner? Is it FAIR that I almost missed a charity run that I had been planing for over a month? Had to put in for the day off over a month before I wanted it, Find a babysitter so my wife could go with me. I think that I did a pretty good job telling every one what happened, I told and invited the Owner of the dealship James about our site and I even thanked him. I think the Play by Play was FAIR. In my opinion FAIR and GOOD business would have never made me post this thread. Iam sorry that you dont agree and that is your opinion and I respect that.

BUT you said in your post that the manager came about after hearing your problems and resolve it to your satisfaction. I have employees who screw up sometimes and when I get a complain I make sure it is resolve. If I need to terminate him so be it. OR if the complainer is wrong and post about my business on the Web I will make sure the attorneys are on the case and the complainer is made to pay for false allegations.

BUT when someone post something on a site for all to see ( even if a re post is done ) the damage can be humongous. Your lost is what you say above but the loss to any business is sometimes irrevocable just because someone got annoyed at some minute problem. Sorry that was what yours was.

It takes years to make a business grow and only one spur of the moment comment to sink it. IT'S not fair to anyone. JOB LOSS, BUSINESS LOSS ETC. iF the owner had refused it would have been a different matter. Complaining and writing about it is a threat, he should have been ask first, not threat and write up before given a chance , which happened here. I am not impress, although you can do whatever you want.

I rest.

Leave it all as is.

I'm still concerned that this dealer didn't know the Spyder had Synthetic oil in it.

If they don't know that simple fact, I would highly doubt their knowledge for doing ANY service work on the Spyder.

That issue still remains and is very important in my opinion.

Your right it is all very important that we communicate because the dealers are learning just like we are here and more times than not we know more about our bikes than they do. We take the time to get to know the ins and outs of one bike. the dealers have alot of bikes they have to learn. One thing that James the owner of the dealership told me was the Brp is not very forth coming with information about repairs on the spyder and the tecs are pretty much teaching themselfs at our expence. The other thing that is very inportant about us talking is to make sure that we are not getting ripped off for our services and this will help by knowing what others are paying and where not to go... Iam not sure what BALD was talking about by making threats because this was not a threat It was a statment and my opionion and my opionion only. I never told anyone not to go there. I guess all Iam saying is ask alot of questions when you take your bike in for work and make sure you feel comfortable with the people doing the work.

From your initial post

the name of that dealer is ALL TERRAIN MOTORSPORTS in grand juction Co.
I will not go back there and I will not send any more business there way.
now that I am off my soapbox I hope everyone has better luck with there dealers. __________________""

The gist of my argument is that , you posted than complained to the owner who would have done right for you BUT you shot first than ask. That's wrong.!! A gentlemen never does that.

I was told that all dealers MUST have a tech go for special Spyder training before they can sell and service the Spyder.

Anyone know if this is true?

This is where your right

I did complaine and I had know intentions of going back there. I talked to a friend of mine and he told me that he knew the owner and talked me in to calling him. Mind you that this was all after the fact.

This is where you are wrong

I will not go back there and I will not send any more business there way.
My quote says that I will not go back there and that I will not send any more business there way. It does not say that Iam going to go out and tell everone that askes me about the spyder that they are no good I would not do that. I would just send them to the dealer that I got it from.

Look at it any way that you want. Just remember I am not the first to post like this and I am not going to be the last. Atleast I gave them another chance and posted the results just like I said I would. so just move on to the next dead horse and start beating that horse because this one was dead a long time ago.

OVER AND OUT GOOD BUDDY
