As a young guy, I'd occasionally commute into Boston on a bicycle, in rush hour (Motocross mentality was helpful - while, of course, being aware of the difference in "bargaining power" between me and everyone else around me.) One day, someone made a point of trying to squeeze me into the concrete barrier separating the roadway from the sidewalk, but I was able to brake quickly and hike the bike up and over the barrier, where I could just ignore the guy because, yeah, not engaging is definitely the best policy.Hell some people just don’t like bikers.
On a motorcycle, I did have kids in a pickup truck pass me at the last second on a narrow country road, down hill, just before a 1-lane bridge, nearly forcing me into a concrete bridge abutment. (Concrete again!) The bed and the cab of the truck were packed with kids, laughing their heads off. So you couldn't call it road "rage," but...
Again, executing a "reverse pass" and disengaging seemed the way to go.
