• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Let's see you light em up, you know

Burn some rubber... Show us how hot she runs.

Magnificent, almost but not quite magma... ;-)

Throw a little heat on the fire.

And you thought your Spyder felt warm to the touch? Just saying.

It's cute... but it doesn't show us anything that we didn't already know...
Friction creates heat...
The more that the F1 racer spun it's tires; the more heat was generated...
The outlets in front of the rear wheels were doing their job; channeling heat out of the engine compartment.
(Makes you wish that Can Am could make their venting this effective! :D)

Makes me wish for Indy driving school

I so wish to drive one of these, bright flash on the track, beasts...

Really looking forward to late Friday night/Saturday morning from Beijing.
Wow, finally the first full electric racing format. Going to be a shocker, I hope...
I DVR'd it.

FIA approves Formula E electric car racing
Motorsport is about to get truly green with its own international electric car series, as approved by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).
The new Formula E will be Formula cars powered exclusively by electric energy and is designed to showcase a “vision for the future of the motor industry over the coming decades”, FIA says in a statement.

FIA has now signed an agreement to licence the commercial rights of the FIA Formula E Championship to a consortium of international investors, Formula E Holdings Ltd (FEH).

FEH, the new promoter, has as anchor investor; London-based entrepreneur Enrique Bañuelos, and as CEO and shareholder former MEP and racing team owner Alejandro Agag, who has a long experience in the motor sport business. Also associated with the project are former MP, Lord Drayson who is also the managing partner of Drayson Racing Technologies, and Eric Barbaroux, Chairman of the French electric automotive company "Electric Formula".

Demonstration runs of the Formula E cars are planned to start in 2013, followed by the first championship in 2014. FEH hopes that the first Formula E will feature 10 teams and 20 drivers.
The consortium also hopes to stage the races in leading cities, around their main landmarks.

Alejandro Agag, CEO of FEH said: "We are very pleased with the agreement reached with FIA. We see this as a great opportunity to create a new and exciting spectacle mixing racing, clean energy and sustainability, looking to the future. We expect this Championship to become the framework for research and development around the electric car, a key element for the future of our cities."
