• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

leaking battery

Just for fun I googled "Motobatt leaking" and the second from the top was I thought appropriate for this thread:

Sorry Dan....:D:D
Did you read the first reply from someone going by "Banditrod" . . ." i have been through 3 of thise peices of :cus: in my gixxer in the last 3 years TK so i know where you are coming from" . . . I wonder how many more ole Banditrod will buy before he figures out that: "thise peices of :cus: in my gixxer" really are "pieces of :cus:."

Screw kindness!!!!! Lol... This will be 2-3 weeks of lost ride time. I'd be inserting my foot in someone's arse....
that was my first instinct, but then you jacked around harder. got to take the high road to try and collect on the damage. this is a good reason to NEVER buy stuff online.

update #2

finally got a good battery from motobatt, at least it looks good. 17 days later.:banghead: hope to install it tomorrow.......and ride  . if i had to do it all over, i'd buy one off the shelf at batteries plus.$ 119 . two year warranty. if only i knew then what i know now. DANG !

odyssey

had a 4 year old odyssey in my 92 they warranteed it all I had to do was mail them the lid and pay shipping. outfit out of LA seems like.

they said they would make good on the damage too. we'll see.

They'll send you a nice "MotoBatt" sticker to put over the damage....OOOF!...:p:joke:

Seriously though, I'm just glad to hear that it's all back together and back on the road!

AGM BATTERY

Leaking battery is really bad. AGM battery is on my list.
all spyder batteries are agm. they have to be, they lay on their side, at least gs/rs 2012 -2008 do. the leak is caused by overfilling at the factory to the point that the internal safety cannot handle it. then it pees.:roflblack:

I don't know who makes Harley Davidson batteries, but those suckers last. I bought my '07 Road Glide in Sep '06 and sold it in May '13 and the battery was still going strong. I did have to replace the battery in my '04 Sportster this summer after nine years. I've heard YUASA makes them, but can't confirm that.

motobatt stands tall

i received my new parts today, as promised, to replace the ones damaged by my leaking battery. big thanks to Smokey White at motobatt for getting it done. that's pretty good customer service.
