• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In your fourties..??..😲

We're also the generation who are having to support the baby-boomers in retirement so losing out both ways;-)
Thanks! Keep working! I'm 62 and delaying Social Security since I'm not ready to retire yet. Keep in mind, Social Security is not an entitlement. The government has been taking my money since my first job in 1971 and they have been spending it just as fast. In other words, Social Security is a legal Ponzi scheme. Almost time to pay me back!:p

I'm 65, I signed up because I want to get some of what I paid in before the thing goes broke. :banghead:

I'm closer to 62 than 61 and I'm still doing my part to support those who've retired before me. If you do your part by working hard and getting lucky enough to live to be an "old fart", you too, will get your turn at retirement!

Ha ha...

It's pretty interesting how much society has changed, hasn't it? I'm a recruiter for the Army, and we see this at work all the time. Believe it or not, we were using Pokemon Go as a way of finding people just a few weeks ago. :roflblack:

Oh no, now we are doomed for sure!

LOOK, I've worked my ass off for 45 + years so I could retire. So I'm drawing on the money that the government has taken from me for those 45 + years.

And...my generation is supporting the generation that never paid a dime into the system. The group is finally getting smaller though. :roflblack::roflblack:

For those generations that seem to feel entitled, thanks for providing the current money that sends me the monthly check.:bowdown:

And just to brighten everyone's day--you know that SS and Medicare are broke. They have no trust funds put away in everyone's account. They have filing cabinets that are full of worthless IOU's. The checks generated each month come from money forcefully collected from employers during the last couple weeks, and from notes that are on daily auctions for those willing to "invest" in the US debt. Thank you China.

Is this going to turn into a generation fight? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Hate to say it, but the older outnumber the younger by a few.:yes:

We are just taking the money that we paid into the system all of our lives. PS. I am still paying because I have a pretty good part time job teaching at the University.

Like whoever said it: "The only two things in life that are for sure are death and taxes." :roflblack::roflblack:

Get a real job please and stop taking my tax money
I think that folks who have worked their entire adult lives, shouldn't be make to feel as if they're taking anyone else's money.
By paying into the system: they've earned the right to draw from it.

I'v got one more year and I will retire and join those collecting. 40 years on one job, 4 years in the USAF and my own Business for 7 years its TIME... nojokejtpollock
