Got a late start today so I didn't get as far as I would have liked to. I still got in about 750 miles and I left my house at 9 am.
The beginning of the trip was great. The RT was running strong and it just felt right. My mileage kinda sucked but I figured it wasn't going to be that great towing a loaded trailer. My worst was 21 mpg and my best was 25 mpg. I hope it gets better as it breaks in.
I did have a real surprise when I got to Fort Smith. I fueled up and went looking for a place to stay and I had my helmet off because I wasn't going that far. Every time I took off and hit the brakes I would hear a pretty major noise. I got off and checked the hitch and the ball was just about to fall off. nojoke :yikes:
The good thing was there was a Lowls right across the street so I bought two big wrenches to snug the ball down. I'm not sure how it got loose or if it was never tight to start with but I'm very thankful that it stayed on as long as it did.

Looks like I'll be riding in the cold and the rain tomorrow. I'll check as soon as I get in. :doorag:
