There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I'm in Fort Smith AR

Got a late start today so I didn't get as far as I would have liked to. I still got in about 750 miles and I left my house at 9 am.

The beginning of the trip was great. The RT was running strong and it just felt right. My mileage kinda sucked but I figured it wasn't going to be that great towing a loaded trailer. My worst was 21 mpg and my best was 25 mpg. I hope it gets better as it breaks in.

I did have a real surprise when I got to Fort Smith. I fueled up and went looking for a place to stay and I had my helmet off because I wasn't going that far. Every time I took off and hit the brakes I would hear a pretty major noise. I got off and checked the hitch and the ball was just about to fall off. nojoke :yikes:

The good thing was there was a Lowls right across the street so I bought two big wrenches to snug the ball down. I'm not sure how it got loose or if it was never tight to start with but I'm very thankful that it stayed on as long as it did.

Looks like I'll be riding in the cold and the rain tomorrow. I'll check as soon as I get in. :doorag:

My "Better Half" wants me to ask you how many hours you traveled for to get the 750 miles? :shemademe_smilie:

You be careful. You might ought to plan to stay put for the weekend. Oklahoma City is looking for 5"-8" snow tomorrow (Saturday the 20th). High of 33. 80% chance of precipitation. 40% chance Sunday with a high of 41.

Ah yes; another Adventure! It sounds like you "Lucked out" with the trailer ball thing! I hope the rest of your trip is safe and enjoyable. I hope to see you in Cuba in about a month.

Doesn't AK mean Alaska, no wonder your heading into a snow storm. Be careful we are preparing for the possibility of a spring storm here in the Ozarks as well. You might want to consider shooting south to Dallas to see if you can go around it. I used that route coming back from NM a year or so ago to dodge a storm.

:opps:

I'm about 220 miles from Oklahoma City right now, I guess I see far I can make it and if it gets too bad I'll get a place to stay. Guess I didn't plan this as good as I thought. Is this the first day of spring?

Hey, at least you only had to buy wrenches...and not a hammer! :D Be safe in the storms. Godspeed!

Sitting at a truck stop right now. I thought I would get a jump on the snow but it was raining real hard and it was/is dark and I couldn't see 20 feet ahead of me. I pretty much thought I was going to die. nojoke
My plan is to wait till it gets light and try again. This is going to be a bad day to travel no matter what.

I must be a wimp. I think I'm going to sit this one out and get a room here in Muldrow. :(

Judging from the posted weather forecast, I'd vote for the motel room. In my eyes, being sensible does not equate to being "Whimpy" in this situation. I'd rather be in the room wishing I was riding, as opposed to riding and wishing I was in the room.:D

Sounds like sitting it out is the right thing to do. We're about 200 miles southwest of Dallas and, right now, it's 32 degrees, strong gusty wind, and heavy overcast. Not pleasant riding weather. Be careful. Sometimes it's just best to wait a while.

With age comes wisdom, Obijan!! You dun good! We want reports "from the road", not OFF the road! Happy trails! Loren

Your Not a wimp by no Means when safety is at stake. That kneck of the woods is prone to Ice storms. Although the spyder dose pretty good in snow. I dont know about pulling a trailer in that kind of weather.
