• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's snowing now and looks like it will be snowing tomorrow too. My plans are to sit this out and leave Monday when the roads are clear. Problem is if I leave here tomorrow my rear wheel will be right in all the slush and I don't like that idea at all after my near death experience today.

I plan on living to ride another day and if that means staying here that's fine. They have wifi and a good restaurant near by. I'll shoot some video in the morning and post it here. This was this morning.

This (the weather) is why I purchaced the garmin 478 with next-rad weather that displays on the gps. It has saved my bacon several times. I have been able to ride around several days of weather.

That's what I use my iphone for but it would be nice to have it on the gps. The Garmin 665 will have that and I may be buying one of those next.

Looks like 2" to 4" of snow today so I'll sit it out till tomorrow. It will be good to get back on the road again. :doorag:

Absolutely correct on the 478, Patdcop! I love my 478... and you get XM with it!!:agree:

Lamont, to paraphrase a common remark we used to say during my flying days, it's better to be in the motel room wishing you were on the road than on the road wishing you were in the motel!!!!!:D

My internet connect here is terrible. Tried to get this out last night, but at 7 a.m. Sunday, shows snow from Dallas to Tulsa and the storms reach all the way to Rome, Ga.

You may be on your way by this afternoon, tomorrow for sure.

Best regards,
Cappy

:clap:That was a smart move to just wait it out.....BTW...the RTS and Trailer look great!

Took a shower and went out to check on the snow. I'm glad I waited this one out.

I headed to that little 50's style diner and had the best piece of ham I've ever had. This thing took up the whole plate and it was great. I'm thankful I got standed next to such a great restaurant.

After breakfast I met the guys on the Harley's that decided to sit out this storm. They're headed to Cheyenne and who knows where from their. The guy on this Fatboy (Raven) was having a little fun with the snow. :2thumbs:

Good deal LaMonster.. I always like to show up at my family's homes unannounced, I love to surprise them, although my parents have passed away many many years ago I still drop by all my siblings homes like that,,Be careful and enjoy your mother....

Lamont, sorry your trip has been delayed. Glad you made your executive decision though, as you mentioned, better late than dead. Keeping your mom in prayer and also for you and the rest of your journey. Hope to see you on the flip side in Cuba, MO. By the way, those snowmen on the Harley were great. Thanks for the entertainment.

Lamont... you wouldn't have missed any of it by going south. Woke up this morning with about 6" of snow on the ground.

.

You just couldn't wait till I could go with you...Had to leave Friday!

I'm out of here tomorrow but looks like rain for me. You look to be high and dry from where you're at. Have a good trip the rest of the way and say hello to everyone in SD for me.
