There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. If you could pick..??

Neil Diamond -- Play Me

Hall and Oates -- She's Gone

bonus: a Moody Blues song most have never heard. "Forever Autumn". The trivia question is why was it so obscure?

Wasn't this one released by Justin Hayward; and not the Moody Blues?

And it sure is a beautiful song! :2thumbs:
(Have it, and love it too!)

Apparently, I am the only one out here who wants to be assaulted by my music. No Disturbed or FFDP fans? I am 55 and still get in the PIT. Of course, that is probably why I can't hear!!!

Assaulted by my music HELL YEAH  I am in my early 40's so old music for me would be the 80's-90's.My music when I ride is old Megadeth, old Metallica,Rage Against The Machine,Ozzy and Pantera stuff like that. How do you think my wife and I fell in love it was in the PIT

For music lovers...... :lecturef_smilie: I find every older song brings to mind a time, a place, a feeling, a memory an emotion. So as I scanned over the vast amount of music it came to mind that if you could pick two songs that tell your lifes story ( old folks only ) what would they be..?? For me..

1. Kids of the baby boom by the Bellamy Brothers
2. The Class of 57 by the Statler Brothers

What would yours be..??

1. Emerson, Lake & Palmer
2. Eurythmics
3. Moody Blues
4 The Doors
5. Fleetwood Mac

This takes me back to good times. Fast cars, bikes, and good friends. O yes and long hair.

Sung by Hayward, eventually, but not released by him. The reference below refers to a musical version of War of the Worlds, I read somewhere the song was also used on a movie soundtrack, but I am still looking for that reference.

Edit: I found these notes on a lyrics site. "While often associated with the band, “Forever Autumn” is not actually a Moody Blues song. It is from Jeff Wayne’s 1978 musical version of “The War of the Worlds”. Justin Hayward, lead vocalist of The Moody Blues, participated as the musical thoughts and voice of the journalist/narrator in the story. (The spoken lines were performed by screen star, Richard Burton.)"

And you are correct, it is a beautiful song...

Keath Barrie ... Christian Island

Christian Island is located in Georgian Bay, Ontario and the song was written by Gordon Lightfoot but this is a better version. I met my wife in this area in the summer of 1960 so it has special significance. Silver heels, the boat in the song has been the name of three of our sailboats, I, II and III.

I couldn't narrow it down to just 2 songs. So many favourite groups or individual artists and many of the ones mentioned already would be mine too. Many of them invoke memories of things in my life at different times, mostly all good.

Interesting question though and enjoy reading the answers.

1. The Forest - The Cure

Has to be live. Just changed my signature to point to a video with that song as the soundtrack:-)

Can't choose a second one as there's about a dozen options.

Did not know this song..... love it and the video that I am assuming is from NZ.

Thanks for posting.

The Association

For me, it is anyting from the Association. They were a popular group from the sixties. Here they are being introduced by a very young Dick Smothers, followed by a rather dorky introduction of their own. (You gotta remember - it was the 60's  )

About 14-15 years ago, when our youngest son was still in college, my wife and I actually met Jim Yester, the lead singer of the Association, at our son's school in Va. He was performing with a nostalgia trio of popular lead singers from the 60's. I said to Yester, "My wife and I have very fond memories of listening to your music in my room at the fraternity house with the door closed." Without missing a beat he came back with, "You were holding hands in there, right?" :roflblack:

Blues Brothers
Chicago (Only with Terry Kath. When he died Chicago went with him)
Hank Williams Sr
George Jones
Willie Nelson

Well, being that I have been with my wife for 44 of my 59 years on this planet, I have to say she was the most important thing to me in this world. That said and the fact she is no longer with me I have to say my two songs would be:

Just You 'N' Me/Chicago

Without You/Harry Nilsson
