I just don't understand

Having a com unit on a Motorcycle adds a huge enjoyment factor. Not to mention a great deal of added safety. It isn't like you have to jabber continuously. And, you can always shut it off.

I highly recommend it. But get a good unit. Cheap ones are more trouble than they are worth.

We wear half helmets and the SENA units mount on the side with speakers in the ear flap area.

I always thought a stereo on a bike was foolish. Now that I have it, I find it is often a. Good addition. I had the same opinion about cruise control. Now I love it.

Some of us can't be oblivious to everything else just because we are riding. I have kids that i always want to be able to get a hold of me if they need to. I have employees and i have customers that I need to be in contact with.

I look at it that its great that i can continue to have all that access when needed and still ride. I guess it would be nice to just shut everything down, but not in my world and i'm sure many others. To each his own.

Well, all I can add to that, is that after being President of a Public Company for the the last 25 years, and I find it better to have some time where they CAN'T find me. Someday, I want to really retire.

We consider Sena SMH10's to be good ones. Also had Cardo units--but they were a little more noisy. We have them attached to Nolan N43 and N44 (open face with drop down shield). As long as the mic is by your mouth, and behind the shield, communication is perfect.

Different strokes for different folks but I kinda enjoy having my wife on the other end of my SENA communications device. She is on her Spyder and I on mine as we cruise the countryside.... the only way to communicate otherwise is by hand signals. We comment to each other on the scenery, the nutty motorists we see and try not to engage, road hazards coming up we may not otherwise notice, and generally comment on the good feeling of being in the wind.

She is my "get away"companion in everything we do.... be it kayaking, horseback riding, competing at the shooting range or especially riding our Spyders. I enjoy our conversations!!

The biggest reason I even bought our RT is to spend time together. My wife and I truly enjoy each others company and that includes discussions on the ryde! We're not retired and spend a great deal of time working (paid and at home) so when the opportunity to relax and ryde comes along, we jump at it.
That's not to say we don't need a little "Me Time" as well! We both get unplugged and get a little Zen once in a while...

I just bought a Sena 20s. Love it. I have a wife and 3 young kids at home. If there's an emergency... I can be "got". Sometimes, I want to hear the wind and the purr of my 1330. Other time, throw on some Zepplin and get this trike up to 90mph.
