I set it up just like Lamont's first version, except for a couple of changes.
- I used the filter stone in the kobalt filter instead of removing it and piping it. However, I took my dremel to the filter stone at the bottom and cut 4 wide "V" slots at the bottom. This way the stone still mounts stock, and oil and vapor are allowed to bypass the filter element towards the bottom of the filter.
- I took filter foam (coarse) and packed it in a circle in the unit. This should catch more of the oil before it has a chance to escape out to the breather element, but time will tell.
All I know is no more oil in the airbox, and just in time for Gatlinburg.
One mistake though. I forgot to blow through it to make sure it was flowing...No time to remove the tupperware tonight and double check it. Pretty sure it is good to go.
