• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HMF pipe??

Anyone running one of these?

I'm in the market for a new pipe-- and really like the look of the HMF carbon fiber.......

Wondering if it requires a 90 deg separate unit or does it just come with that on already?

My Hindle is trashed pretty bad--- so I'm wanting something different-- and the HMF can be re-packed by them for only $35.

I've read the carbon fiber pipes don't hold up well and some manufacturers are not making them because of problems. That said I like what I read about these guys and their pipes but I couldn't find an easy way to mod the mount to fit with my bags.

YES...I'm running 2bros right now and like it has been on my :spyder2: for over 5000 mi if I went diff. I would get HMF I beleive

All HMF exhausts feature:

304 stainless steel flanges, headpipes & S-bends
Tough T6061 aluminum or lightweight Carbon Kevlar exhaust shell..

Freebob...:doorag:

I have stainless HMF like it alot but closest to my Micron but Micron still had best sound the HMF comes with the 90 on it and so far seems to be less of a maintenance headache as compared to the Micron:doorag:

I really like the looks of the HMF Carbon Fiber with the Black vector tip -- and the fact that they will do a repack and put a new side emblem on it for $35 + shipping.

I liked the Hindle looks--- but the paint scratches easily, the heat shields come loose and who the heck knows about repacking???

I'll most likely order the HMF and then see about drilling the Hindle out and fixing it up too.

I've had the stainless one on for over a year and around 4000 miles. I like it, may be louder than hindle but my hearing is shot anyway.

3tracs has one. Not carbon fiber though. Meet him in Chicago and after talking with him, the HMF is my next pipe.

I would like to see a picture of the street, eliptical, carbon fiber black tip exhaust from HMF All I can find are pics of the brushed aluminum!

I heard an audio clip of the HMF before, and it sounded pretty darn good to me. Firefly, if you end up getting one be sure to post your review on it for those of us who may need to switch to a different can later as well.

have a carbon fiber HMF on my 2009 phantom.... i love the looks and sound personally.... but exhaust tones are a very subjective thing. we all have diff music to our ears.

welcome shibby1485

thanks :) recently bought a pre-owned 09 spyder phantom. took my road test today to finally become official... managed 700 miles on it so far with my permit :2thumbs: it has 2k when i bought it

loving it!!!!

bought it already with the CF HMF, so i have nothing to compare it to whatsoever... i am backfiring like crazy when its hot out tho! popping and backfires like there's no tomorrow. from my reading here i need a 02 modifier i think? unless i need a repack or my gaskets are blown, not sure.

How many miles are on the Spyder? The Y gaskets are known to burn out much earlier than anticipated, so I would definitely check those first. If you are running the stock air box set up with the HMF you should not be having the backfiring issues, as the ECM should be able to compensate for that one change. If you are not running the stock air box, or filter in it, then an O2 modifier may be just the ticket.

Any chance of you making it to the Spyders in the Smokies event, and Lamont's BBQ?

Sitting under a cabana on Daytona beach at the moment, but i will upload some pics and video of mine later tonight, (priorities man), but i will say its a louder pipe. I think it sounds pretty good, has a nice boom when you first start the bike. Pops like crazy on decel, so i will try to adjust the juicebox, or cot some notches in it and reseal it... maybe that will help. I just put new Y gaskets on, so its not that.

Firefly, I was running the HMF on my Phantom. Zero maintenance other than wiping it off. I have had one on my quad for 2 years and no problems there either.
When they make one for the RTS, the 2bros is out the door. The one on my quad is carbon fiber. This one was silver and I ceramic coated it
