Help with Kott Grilles install

I am in the process of installing a pair of Kott Grills in my Spyder RT-L 2023 model. I am having trouble determining the precise place to put the Kott grill blocks... NOT the locations (up or down) per say, but DEPTH... do they go on the inside edge or the shiny outside edge. I have searched videos and still not sure.

Anyone out there that can give me a solid answer on this? Thank you in advance

I just installed The KOTT grills on my "22 RTL. The Blocks go right on the edge outside of the of the "Shiny area. Take a good look at the instruction. You can see it in the pictures.

Yes, I downloaded the instruction sheet and enlarged it on my computer. It showed more precisely the location of the blocks on the computer screen than on the sheet of paper that came as the instructions. I have one side installed, and there is still a gap on the top area where bugs and trash can get behind it. I am using JB Weld on the blocks instead of using screws to secure them. I did not want to make holes in the body of the Spyder. If they don't hold I will most likely go to the magnetic ones before I make holes in the body shell.
