• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got my PC5 and autotune installed...

Only thing that was not "set it and forget" was getting rid of popping at decel by adding little fuel.

Other than that it's just spyder itself that's not tunable.
I gave up on it after realizing it just was not going to happen due to not being able to tune each gears.
Spyder does not send signal in right voltage for pcV to calibrate each gears.
Amount of air it sucks in is just not going to be same in first gear as fifth.

For now, just a o2 mod from evo for me.

So... if I were to write a howto for the pc5... it would go like this.

Follow the dynojet instructions to install it. It's all pretty easy.

Load the map from StriperKing.

Ride.

I haven't had to tweak anything from there and pretty much all popping and backfire on decel are gone. Everything is so much smoother and I swear it's muted the exhaust to a more mellow deeper tone.

It's like a whole different engine.

95% of the improvement is in the lighter throttle ranges (less than 40%) and I believe much of that can be had with the evo o2 eliminator. However the pc5 also modifies the map under 40% and the o2 eliminator cannot do this.

Mike,

It was much quitter following you this weekend. It normally sounds like a gattlin gun going off. :D Now you need to take care of Ruth's :spyder2:

It'll be tough getting her to let me spend the money to fix hers. Maybe just an O2 mod will do it

That was the idea of the autotune. You set it and forget it. Forever. And it adjusts to all of the changes that might occur.

With the jb, you set it and then if you change anything, you have to set it again.
If the weather changes, you set it again.
If you travel through the mountains, you set it again.
As your bike ages, you have to tweak it to keep the best performance, fuel economy and driveability.

You could just deal with it. Most people do. But if you can just live with lower mileage, performance, smoothness etc then why get anything?

Anyhow, not at all trying to convince anyone, just trying to answer why I choose the autotune.
While I haven't experienced any of those problems I understand what your saying, it does seem like the autotune would be the way to go. But again my experience has been much simpler without any noticeable difference in performance going from 2000ft. to 10000ft. rain or shine and once I figured out the initial setting I liked, I've only had to do one other tweaking since I've put many more miles on it.

I have installed Two Brothers Juice Box (reflashed by Dobeck) and bike runs good 75-80% of the time. I have the same problem that aka1004 discribed when he posted that when the weather gets hot the bike starts running rough. I want to find the answer to what is causing this and how to correct it. I have checked that all hoses are connected and the valves are correctly adjusted.
