• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Got any long trips planned for the Spyder?

Come on Al...join us in Alaska..

I will travel to my 5th Annual Spyderfest 2015 in Springfield, MO...then a couple weeks going 'somewhere'. then Maybe Owner's Event (depends on where it will be)...cause end of June/July headed North to Alaska for at least 6 weeks of travel....then the only planned ryde:clap::thumbup: after that is my Grandson is getting married mid August in Nebraska. Figure it will be a 20-30k year of Spyder ryding...

Myrtle Beach and Deadwood, SD

Going to the Myrtle Beach Spyder rally the 2nd week of May and then the 1st annual trike rally in Deadwood, SD the middle of July. Can't wait!!:yes:

May 8th the wife and I will head from central Missouri to Salem, Oregon. Oldest son graduating from law school. Plan to make it a three week trip with routes yet to be determined.

In April I'm riding to Tucson, AZ, and back - about 5,000 miles, total. I'm going to try to squeeze in a day at SpyderFest on the return trip, since it will be in progress. In June, I am going on an Appalachian Highlands tour with friends. In August, I'm riding to Spyder Odyssey in Quebec, then in September, going to Spyder Quest in Lake George, spending three days getting there, to do some touring in Pennsylvania, New York, and Vermont, on the way. Still waiting to hear about the Ohio Spyder Rally . . . it was a lot of fun, this year.

Is it Spring, yet? :ohyea:

January - min 1,600km in 24 hours (an un-official Iron Butt). My route is 1,680km (1,044 miles).
February - The TT2000 - min 2,000km in 48 hours. My route is 2,350km (1,460 miles).

Both around South Island New Zealand. Majority of the roads will be narrow twisty's, some of it through the Southern Alps - basically riding through 'Lord of the Rings' country:-)

SS2K

About 17 January 2015 we are doing our Saddlesore 2000. Charleston SC to Orange Texas. Overnighter in Slidell LA. Our initial Ironbutt was Sandi's victory lap after radiation therapy. Now, for another just to ride I-10/I-12 in LA and points east. The 5K is next.

2015 Tour of Texas - week long trip

For my epic 2015 trip, I've plotted out a week long trip I've dubbed the "Tour of Texas". Starting from the Dallas area, I'll be traveling in a large loop counter-clockwise (about 2200 miles round trip). This will take me through every region Texas has to offer (along with a little bit of Roswell, NM and Carlsbad Caverns!).

I'll be bringing my RT622 trailer and all the camping gear with me as I plan on camping in the state parks each night.

Night stop over locations

1. Caprock Canyons state park
2. Brantley Lake state park (NM)
3. Fort Davis state park
4. Lost Maples state park
5. Mustang Island state park (Padre Island)
6. Hunstville state park
7. Dangerfield state park

I can't wait!

I am still waiting to buy my Spyder RT Ltd. and sell my 2012 GoldWing although this time of year in Canada with the snow, it is not a great time to sell a bike but indeed a good time to buy one. Guess I will just have to be patient.

My bucket list trip this summer is planned to go from Ontario Canada, down through the eastern part of the US, south to the Florida Keyes, across Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, etc to California. North to British Columbia, Vancouver Island, back to the mainland and towards Alaska. Back through BC mountains and Alberta then into the USA. South through the mountains, Colorado etc. Across the mid west and back to Ontario. Or something along that line :sour:

I figure I will take about 3-4 months and this will be around 35000KM or so.

Should be fun. May see some of you along the way.

"I want to go!"

Every one of these trips sound awesome. On a Spyder the destinations don't matter. It's just an excuse to RIDE my:spyder2: on a new road and meet some great people and see some great country. LOVE MY SPYDER!:trike:

We are planning to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway again next spring from Cherokee, NC North but this time we are going to continue through Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley. We will probably head East from there and return home down the Atlantic coast and through Charleston and Savannah.

Only one big trip planned for 2015. Alaska with Murphy Brown and company. I am hoping that the Owners Event is on the way so we can take that in.
I only get 5 weeks of vacation and 4 of those will be used for this trip. Looking forward big time to this trip.

I have been riding with two friends every year for the last 25 - 2015 will see us on a "best of the best" tour, or all of our favorite stretches of non-freeway roads. That's highway 3 out of Oregon to Kalispell to Highway to the Sun to Cody to Cooke City via the Chief Joseph scenic byway to Yellowstone, and back via Salmon - Highway 12, and home, across Oregon on Highway 26.. Roughly 3000 miles.

Considering running down to SITR for one night, just for fun....

Since you're in Texas you should consider SpyderQuest in September. I went last year by myself and this year my father in law will be taking his RT. It's an amazing event in Lake George, NY.
