There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Got any long trips planned for the Spyder?

nothing formally planned....

... But, my Wife and I took the Spyder up to Paducah, KY, and over the steel bridge into Brookport, IL this past Sunday. That was 360 miles round trip. And, it was an absolutely beautiful day! That is our longest ride so far.

May 9th, we are planning on riding down to Birmingham, AL to the 29 Dreams Motorcycle Resort, and visiting Barber Motorsports Park & Museum. This will be a group ride. And, we will be staying overnight.

If all works out, we might try to head east for the 'Spyders in the Smokies' this fall..

W and I will be taking some shorter trips this spring (to break in the backsides) then hope to do CO (MN to Denver to mountains to home) June/July, on both machines. Looks to be a great year!

Congrats Lamont, sounds like you have a great brew of kids.
The first half on the Ruidoso, NM runs is the Aspen Cash(May)...Golden Aspen is the second in the fall.(September)

My wife and I are planning on following the Oregon Trail this summer when I take some leave. It's about 2000 miles one way. I have the route planned with stops along the way to see the landmarks and sites. We are not sure about the route back to Lincoln, Nebraska from the trail's end in Oregon City, Oregon, yet. We might be short on time and have to hit Interstate 80 and pound down for home. We'll do some camping, some bed and breakfasts, and some motels (with hot tubs for the sore muscles).
It should be an adventure but that is what life is about.

Would you be willing to share your planned route? I think that sounds like fun but I would be doing it from Oregon to nebraska.

I would love to share my planned route with anyone. I'm in the process of plotting it on Google Earth along with grid coordinates and locations of historic sites and attractions. We are planning on a late June start and going into July so you might be traveling before we do. I would love to hear about your trip, too.

I'm planning on riding from Florida to Ohio this fall for my family reunion over Labor Day weekend. My plans are to try and Iron Butt it up, then spend a couple days before the reunion riding around southern Ohio. After the reunion I'm just gonna head south and take my time getting home. That about heading east to the coast and coming back down to Florida that way. That portion is just gonna be up in the air. Thinking about leaving myself around a week for coming home.

I really liked seeing the Spyder on the Dalton Hwy in post #26. Thank you! A ride to Alaska has been a dream ride for awhile now...hopefully it will be realized one day.

For now, we're planning an overnight ride to a ranch outside Victoria, Tx. There will be some offroad riding there and camping beside the Guadalupe River.

In about a month we plan an overnight ride to a 2500 acrea ranch outside La Grange, Tx. There are miles of dirt, gravel and trails thru the trees on this land that borders the Colorado River. I have videos of this ranch ride on youtube under username crsssss

This summer we're planning a two week ride to Utah to experience the Burr Trail and some gravel roads in Colorado.
Oh yeah...there's plenty of fantastic paved roads in Big Bend, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado on our agenda too!!!

So many roads...so little time!!!

Sounds good i personally would love to plan something like that which gives us a chance to spend some quality time on the right ride that we love the most. Undoubtedly this forum have a lot to have fun on.

You two may not be aware this is a really, really, really old thread.

This summer my girlfriend and I plan to ride up the coast from Southern California (Long Beach) to Northern California/Big Sur. This is really a dream ride along the coast, with stunning views all along the way. I think the Spyder is the ideal vehicle for this trip. Not sure of the exact miles, but it should be about 7 hours each way. I'm hoping that Ken or Corbin will have saddlebags done by then so we can camp out a few nights along the way.

I've done all of that road, and you'll love it. If time permits, you may find that you want to ride even further - my wife and I took it all the way up from Los Angeles to Calistoga (which is just over Napa) in September. Highway 1 just keeps getting better as you continue north over San Francisco, and it's an experience to go over the Golden Gate Bridge.

Yes, the Spyder is absolutely ideal and I'm sure you'll have a great time!

We're in the planning stages of a trip to Bike Week from NJ. My wife would fly down and meet me in Florida as she has in the past, and after Daytona we'll head to the Keys, and after that visit friends who winter in Florida. Isn't retirement great?

We are all interested in threads on where SL's are planning to go.

Go for it! Mine will be in Alaska for 2015, but I have a whole lot of choices.

Planned trip

Going to my 1st Spyderfest in Springfield MO last week of April, 1st of May. We bought our 2010 RT back in August and have fallen in love. My wife wakes up with her hands already curved for the handlebars. She is already talking about getting one for herself so she can drive more often. :spyder::D

Hint: Separate :ani29:'s are great for more enjoyable road trips. This gives you the opportunity to upgrade to the 2014/2015 if you so desire. Then you can discuss who gets to drive which :spyder2:.

The wife & I will be riding to Rehoboth Beach Delaware the first week of August 2015, and then to SpyderQuest in September. We will probably take at least one long trip before then. Gotta put some miles on!!

Sturgis 2015

Decided to go to Sturgis this year from Washington State. Will be a 12 day trip so I guess that's fairly long. Only going to ride 300 or so miles a day and spend 4 days at the rally. Will be going the northern route through Glacier National Park and back through Wyoming through Yellowstone. Pretty damn excited.
