• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuses - does anyone have sources for Can-Am fuses??

A SpyderLover on Face Book suggested to my wife (2019 F3T) that it would be a good idea to carry an assortment of spare fuses in her bike and mine (2017 RTL). The fuses in my bike do not resemble anything I have seen in auto supply stores. Does anyone have a source for CanAm Spyder fuses?

I think you need to look closer. The Spyder fuses are all standard automotive fuses.

Fuses

:coffee: So far, most fuses for Spyders have been an 'automotive type'. Check yours and let us know if they are different. Post a picture of 'what you are looking at' may help us. ....

The fuses are very small but definitely automotive.
I bought spare fuses at Napa.

Do you mean these fuses they are called J Case fuses there are 2 lengths available

Those j case fuses are $5 a piece at auto parts store.
I bought assorted 30 pack from Amazon for $16.
I don’t think there are too big a difference and one I did use already is still going.

Thanks for the link. Bought one set for each Spyder. Also, discovered that the last person looking into this apparently broke into the cover box and it fell off into my hand.

Spyder RT fuse dimensions

I just went to my Spyder and took physical measurements of my fuses.

The JCASE type appear to be the longer ones at 27 mm long.

The blade type measurements match the "Mini fuse" size as shown in the image from Wikipedia.

FYI, there are 5 spare blade type fuses mounted inside the inner cover of each of the two fuse boxes. They are 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 amps. That's what I found in my 2019 RT; I don't know if yours has the same.
