Frunk Cover (Bonnet) latch redesign

Hi guys,
I thought I had read a while ago that the bonnet latch was redesigned but cannot find anything written.

My fears were realised tonight when I finally got my replacement bonnet after 7 months of waiting for a warranty replacement and there is no way it will latch closed. With a quick measure it seems that the latch pin has been moved around 10mm closer to the top of the bonnet.

I am nearly ready to just laugh the whole thing off as a bad experience as I am not waiting another 7 months to see if they will replace the other half of the latch mechanism.

Just looking for something to back myself up with.
Anything appreciated.

i assume you are talking about the FRUNK.

I heard that they were redesigning it so that it would shut more evenly. the previous fix mentioned here of adjusting the hinges did not work for me, so waiting for BRP to release a fix.

guess they released a new frunk cover all together.

There are different part numbers for the RT front trunk lid, depending on whether the Spyder was built before or after Feb 1, 2010 (and on the color too of course). See here: http://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E&s1=18bc4276-6c23-4265-8c33-6198fd308ab2&brands=roadster

Thanks Gary, the guy's at the dealership FINALLY found the info yesterday arvo.
The other pieces should be on their way so I can finally put this issue to rest.
