• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I love it when people through the trouble to post factual improvements.

And with THAT post, I'm buying my fan can tonight. :2thumbs:

OK, I'll bite. Total noobie-will probably be getting my Spyder next week.
But what is a "fan can"?
Thanks.

It's almost a high-kicking dance French ladies perform in frilly frocks, but not quite. In short, I don't know what it is, but I'm eager to learn. :D

If you look under vendors go to ISCS click on RS Automatic Accessories you'll find out everything about it. jc

The Fan Can is exactly what it sounds like...a Can thet cover amd redirect the exhaust Fan. Produced by ESCI, they have a link on the spyderlover.com home page, call in when you order, be sure to tell them it is for a RT. It's a chore putting it on but well worth it.

The seat seal I mention is simple... I trimmed out under my seat with rubber doo seal from Lowes.

Tell us more about the seat seal. My "gremlin bells" almost melted together the other night from the heat of the seat!

I have SpyderPops LaBlock and Cat shields. The instructions for the LaBlock is to remove the lower belly pan. I removed the one on the right side. Should both sides be removed? Since putting on the LaBlock I get a lot more heat out of the lower right side vent. Feels like a hair dryer on my foot when using my ESI highway pegs. Think I'll also put on the the ISCI FanCan for the RT.

I'll try and get a photo posted later.... but basiclly I cut two 20" strips of the rubber door seal (with self adhisive backing). I put them directly on the tupperware. Starting center point under glovebox and outlined the openiing on both sides. With the seat down, It completely seals off the hot air that used to flow up. Works great and you can not see the trim at all with the seat down.
