• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Recall - Chassis reinforcement

Just heard news about F3 Warranty Campaign. Chassis reinforcement is needed due to reports of some F3 chassis breaking.
Going to ring my dealer in morning to get some more clarification on issue. Apparently all F3 models are affected.
Would be great to hear from others on this issue.

what recall?

I haven't heard about the chassis recall. I just plugged in both my VIN and my husband's VIN into the safety recall VIN lookup page on BRP's website. Neither VIN was flagged as having a recall.

More info please :)

Chassis reinforcement

Installing a bracket under the seat needs to be done to rectify problem. Weld at rear shock mount cracking on some F3s. Info gathered is from FB, no info is released on Can-Am site, here is hoping this isn't a wind up.:dontknow:

Lamonster Help

Lamonster I know you use FB and I am hoping you will tell us how genuine this recall info is, its just come from nowhere.

Agree

it'll be interesting to see if steve, from brp cares, chimes in here and lets us all know what's going on.

I agree. When I logged onto SL tonight, I expected to see a post about this recall and was shocked to see no post about it. Now I have started a post here's hoping we get to the bottom of this recall issue.

is it FB "The Spyder Xperience"?

which is a closed group so those of us who don't belong, can't read anything. Care to copy and paste the info?

Check to see if your F3 is on the list. Pretty easy fix. Share with your F3 friends.
EDIT= This bulletin is intended for ALL 2015 F3 models.

F-3 FRAME ????

:gaah:....My question is, aren't the F-3 and RT frames essentially the same ?????????.......... Mike

Darren,
Good catch!
Thanks for alerting everybody...

Mike,
No; the frames aren't "essentially" the same...
The RT frames have more metal in this area because they carry the fuel tank down in the "Belly of The Beast".
