• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

EZ Pass location

Just received my EZ Pass transponder and am wondering if anyone out there has mounted it in the 'frunk'? I really don't want to add it to the windshield too ugly then. Seems to me I read somewhere that it could be done:dontknow:. Thanks.

I've read a number threads here where they've mounted it to the underside of the trunk lid, and they say it works. Mine is low on the windshield.

I'd go for underside of the trunk lid. If it doesn't work, it's only a few bucks for another 3M strip.

:agree:. I've seen the same posts, and there's no reason it shouldn't work well mounted in that position. I would mount it just inside of the top of the frunk lid, or on the frunk bulkhead near the same location.

Just throw it in the frunk the next time you are headed for the tolls and you will know quickly if it works from there. It should.

It doesn't work in the bottom of the frunk.
I had mine mounted on top of the dash last season. This year; I'm trying it in the front storage netting area of the Frunk.

inside frunk

At first I added my plates to my EZ Pass account but I now have my transponder on the inside of my frunk. It is specifically located on the right center and no issues so far.

The problem with mounting them on the underside of the frunklid... :banghead:
Closing it tends to knock them loose, and if your frunk is full; they are in the way! nojoke

I mounted mine right near the latch under the frunk lid. Works every time.

I have mine mounted in the frunk. Remember though, it has to face the correct direction. The label needs to be at the back and the "Velcro" has to be towards the front. At least that is what I was told by the EZ Pass clerk.

Easy Pass??

On my V-Max the easy pass is " drop a gear and dissapear" Guess it's the same on the RT----It can at least get out of its own shadow.

Pop off the left or right front speaker grill.
They are easy to pop off. Start with the uper inside corner.
You will see there is a TON of space below the speaker. I would put it there below the speaker.
No worries about it falling out anywhere either as that area is an enclosed box.
It's out of the way and doesnt get in your way.

Just an idea.

I'm not sure what kind of strips you use to mount yours, but I used the 3M's that came with it. I have a hard time to pull the EZ-Pass free when I want to remove it. Of course, if the EZ-Pass is not locked all the way in, it will come loose. I do agree they may be in the way, if you overpack.

Works like a charm velcroed to the under side of the frunk lid.
there's no way to knock it off the lid if your using the Velcro type stuff that
comes with it.
be sure to degrease the spot your going to use

Wylie,
I tried using the Velcro that they supplied... :banghead:
While it stuck to the Frunklid and to the EZ-Pass; the Velcro itself just wouldn't stick together well-enough to keep it in place. nojoke

If is the same as I was given, it requires a solid push to interlock the two pieces.

With my IPass, I keep it in the center console compartment when cruising in and around Chicago. Never had a problem with it failing to be read.

Sheesh....shame on all of you for riding your Spyders on the interstates.:lecturef_smilie: Get em on the back roads and smaller highways.....interstate sucks!! LOL. Yeah yeah, I know sometimes ya just gotta

similar unit for Oklahoma

Thats where my wife and I keep ours. We found that the side with the suction cups mounts had to be toward the front of the spyder.
