Well I sympathize and empathetic as to the issues seeing I have them as well.
I also agree some on this sight over compensate and throw as much gas on this fire by cheerleading the charge of hoe great BRP is.
I have spent just around $3K to resolve this issue not including my time which is valuable. My dealer are good group of guys but frankly they do not have much faith that if they would have dome the work i did that anything other than those things forced on BRP my the NHTSA they would not be reimbursed. So rather than take chance that the cost to me would be more I decided to take it into my hands and further plunge and fix this stuff and frankly I am more qualified than any of the engineers at BRP....why? Well because my hands are not tied by some peter principle Eng Manager, tight wad Purchasing Manager, or enviromental regulations or big company politics. To further detail the process in my decision it was like this....I would take about a $8K or more kick in the pants on trade for a 2014 and that trade would be better? How could I even think it would ? Because some "cheerleaders" say so? Those who highly praise the Spyder as though its perfect are not realistic "no bike is"................ right?
So, I choose the lessor of two evils. I will say I really like the idea/concept of the Spyder and I like riding it so I spent the money to fix it.
Tell you what I spent over $3K so I feel if they do not want to here me bitch and complain then give me back that money in credit for BRP swag or parts etc.........and I might be convinced that they care..................They are lucky to have a customer like me I will fix their poor design issues and make the Spyder what it should be...............a cool machine.
