• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine Oil Pressure (PO520)

Skyhawk

New member
Getting a "CHECK ENGINE" warning. Found code "PO520"; Engine oil pressure sensor circuit malfunction. The oil level and temperature is fine. Engine runs great, except when the Nanny kicks in, showing an oil icon, and goes into limp mode limiting RPM to 4000 and speed to about 53. Most of the time it simply shows check engine, showing an engine icon, but everything functions fine, RPM speed, etc. Bike is parked, of course, and looking for where this engine oil pressure sensor circuit is located to replace! Where is it?

Little checking..!!

if oil level is good and filter/s are fresh as well as the oil then you may have wiring problems. Most oil related parts are on the left side behind the kick panel (left foot). If your going to do your own investigating get a service (shop) manual online which will take you through the steps nesessary. You can try the key walk...pull the key, walk away for a few minutes, then return and restart. This gives the computers time to reset in case it is just a glitch (happens)...hope thats it but let us know what you find or the dealer if it goes back there...

Not sure what bike you have but on my 13 RT, the oil pressure sensor is on the right side, bottom of the engine.
