• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine light

My 2008 RS SE5 (16,000 miles)threw a "check transmission" message and check engine light came on. All went away after the bike warmed up ( 3 miles of riding). Runs and shifts well. Went for a 10 mile ride, took 2 hr break, started again and the whole thing repeated itself with normal acting/shifting with the message and the light, went away after a few miles. Oil was a little low on the stick so I brought it back to full, tried to pull the codes "no active codes". Could it just have been a low oil? I've ridden before with the oil at the low end with no messages. Thank for your inputs.

Yeah..!!

Oil light is for oil pressure but low oil will cause check engine light. Oil condition can cause this as well. Keep an eye on it and make sure you change oil and filters when recommened or before...
