• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Digital Tach Not Showing

Hello all. I was on riding yesterday and noticed my digital tach stopped showing on the screen. I went to the preference screen to try to enable it. but I am having a fit trying to do it I have pushed and held every button. I went back to the manual. I can change the time and some other things but not enable the tach. Does anyone know how to enable the tach. 2012 RT SE-5 (convenience package)? Thank you. Oh, btw the fuel gauge is bouncing I know it can't be accurate. Is there a way to enable those on the screen as well?

To enable the digital gas gauge and temperature gauge just unplug the analog gauges. (4 screws or so on the main panel gets you to the gauges.) You need to unplug both gauges for them to revert to digital.

Can't help with the tach information.

I had the same problem and found where to get it on but right now my senior brain has forgotten how I did it. At my son's for Easter. Will be home tonight and I'll make a note to check it on my bike tomorrow and see if I can help you.

I think is under one of the submenus under preferences. Just not sure which one. Either Settings or Configure are my best guess.

Mode button to enter Preferences Display. In the left hand column, down arrow button to Settings. Right arrow button to middle column and select RPM Display with the up/down buttons. Right arrow button to the right hand column and select Enable. Mode button to exit Preferences.

I use this to keep tach & radio info enabled but have occasional times when the radio turns to disabled? No pattern to say why, so i just made it part of my start up procedure (safety card checking) as i get helmet on & park brake off. There was a buds update for mine because the system would spaz & change lots of defaults. Happened on my key west trip. Was odd not dangerous just very odd i got gas then my bike changed several items first i noticed was the amb temp from f* to c* found 1 trip meter was in K not M & trailer mode got engaged....¿. Had 15k service right after trip np after that just the radio will disable once in awhile.

It's a bug in all of them. If you turn the key back on before the gage cluster does a complete shutdown. For example if you forgot to set your parking brake. Some or all of your setting will return to default.

Here is a video I made to demonstrate a couple years ago. Notice the radio display on the main screen and after it is gone.

I'm back

On my 2013 RT LTD you Get it as follows:

Turn on key and wait for instructions to press mode button.

Press mode button to advance to Preferences screen

In first olumn scroll down to Settings

Scroll right to second column and highlight RPM Display

Scroll to third column and highlight enable

if you want you audio choice to display on the speedometer screen do the same again using the Audio Display in the second column and enable in the third column.

Mode button to enter Preferences Display. In the left hand column, down arrow button to Settings. Right arrow button to middle column and select RPM Display with the up/down buttons. Right arrow button to the right hand column and select Enable. Mode button to exit Preferences.
Thank you that worked.:D

That also happens with my clock I will notice it will be on Military time when I start out but as I am riding it switches back to standard format. Very weird. there are no codes. Just a ghost in the machine I guess. Thank you.

That explains sooo much! THANK YOU! I often do go back to frunk for my drink or sun block. Ive had few times where the GPS would get turned on but not turn back off almost draining the battery. Guess i need to watch myself more & now have know what to look for :)
