• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DESS Repairs on '14 RT Scheduled

I had earlier reported the DESS issue happening several times in the last couple weeks on my '14 RT, despite the DESS module being replace earlier this year.

Rode up to my favorite service shop today and after a quick check the Service Manager ordered a new module and one other part, forget what it was called. He said (as best as I remember) it has to do with interference of the frequency between the Key chip and the module. He knows there is a problem and until it is solved, he will continue addressing it as needed. No hesitation, no questioning my word that it had been happening. :thumbup:

Too bad some of the other dealers are not that forthcoming.

Bob, compared to what some of went through with our '10 and '11 RT's, the '14 is a walk in the park. Plus having a good
relationship with the Service Dept and Techs make a visit a pleasant experience. Free coffee any day and dogs and burgers on Saturday.

Second DESS installed today

In/out in less than an hour. Was told that if I have more problems they will keep putting them in until BRP comes up with a solution. Absolutely no complaints with the Service Dept.:thumbup:
 
Midwest Performance &Power Missouri. They new I was from AZ and would not see me again. Told me to get there when I could, got there gave me a loaner bike to go for lunch. I got back he was finishing up. Few minutes later back on the road
