There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I double checked the door when I left this morning

:dontknow:So we'll see what happens when I get home today:dontknow:

Teddy & I are Hosting a WEBN Fireworks Party at our place this Sunday

thumbnail.php
If its raining, no worries, we have a nice view from our condo right off the Ohio river. And anything thats blocked by the bridges, you can still see on the BIG SCREEN:thumbup:

My Nephew Charles will be home on leave from the Army, so Teddy & I thought we'd have a nice get together and invite everyone over to enjoy the FireWorks and grilling out. If your interested, please let me know ASAP so I can have enough food & drinks on hand. Fireworks start at 9:05pm, but some of the streets around my area close around 5, so anyones welcome after 2pm, but there is limited parking, so earliest is best. Last year we had about 45 ppl over, so the more the merrier:yes::joke::yes:

PM me for actual address, but if you want to get a general ideal of where we are located, you can googlemaps Vernon Place 41016

shot down

since my theory is shot down, i have to agree with scotty. teddy jumps pretty high for his size. i think he could get to the door handle easily to un-latch it:thumbup:

I'm working on a SpyCam so we can figure it out! You coming to the FireWorks Party???

since my theory is shot down, i have to agree with scotty. teddy jumps pretty high for his size. i think he could get to the door handle easily to un-latch it:thumbup:

:shocked:It would seem the only 'logical' conclusion :dontknow: But then again, we're talk'n about Teddy, & he's never been known to be 'Logical':roflblack::roflblack:

:joke::yes:You coming to the party on Sunday???:joke::yes:

Dave, for a couple of bucks you can buy & install a simple hook & screw-eye style lock and put it on the outside of the door. Doesn't matter how he does it anymore because he won't be able to open it.

The only drawback is if you have a house guest lock you in the room...

If Teddy hasn't caused any disruption to either household or neighbors during his escape days, perhaps he could be trusted to not be locked :roflblack: In one room?

Hudini did it again **** was at the front door again today

In over 4 yrs, this has never been an issue til this past week. Its just Teddy & I, so its NOT that major of a problem, as he's not made any trouble that I'm aware of:rolleyes: We have a new neighbor, and have only met once for about 5 minutes, but I don't know if he's at home (downstairs) durring the day or like me & gone to work. I just know that Teddy will bark if something gets his attention from outside & him being "loose" & downstairs could definately be heard by our new neighbor, downstairs from us:banghead: and I'm just trying to be a good neighbor.

All in all, I'm just more curious how the heck he's managing to do this:shocked: all of a sudden:shocked: than I am about actually locking him up:banghead:

Are you certain Teddy barks if you're not home? After all, his human is away and the need to defend and protect may not be as strong. He may just observe and chill. (unless someone tries to enter the space).

Still working on getting the Web/Spy Cam thing going to find out

:rolleyes:Do I know for certain, well NO:dontknow: But it would be my best guess, since I know if I leave him out to run around the condo, and I go out to the garage, I can hear him all the way out there, and its a level away. So, for certain, no :lecturef_smilie: But I'd make that bet that he would;)

I found an app that looks promising, now just trying to get it to play well with Windows Vista thats on the Micro-PC that has the webcam and then to work out the interface with Android. A work in progress;)

OK, sorry y'all, but I just need to vent a little!!! !@#$%^&*!@#$%^&!*@&^#^%^$%@%

nojoke:banghead:nojoke:banghead:nojoke:banghead:nojoke:banghead:nojoke:banghead::cus::cus::cus::cus::cus::cus::cus::cus::cus:

You know what, I'm ok with only getting a couple of hours of sleep, some of us are just wired that way. But no sleep, makes me ............ well ............ just about worthless:mad::mad::mad: and that my friends, is where we find me today:banghead::banghead::banghead:

So I get home from work yesterday, and their working on the road that runs along the river in front of Teddys Condo. Doing something over the enbankment where it runs down to the river, but have also dug up one lane of the road as well.
The way it goes, RIVER-ROAD-About 20 feet of yard-Teddy's Condo up in the air on the 3rd & 4th floors.
So after I got home from work yesterday (& yes, Hudini did it again) I took care of Teddy (potty, food, play) and we laid down on the couch together for our little mid-day nap, usually between 5 & 7pm. Well, about 10 minutes into our nap, we're both rudely awakened by a thunderous "BUMP BUMP" !!! "BUMP BUMP" !!! "BUMP BUMP" !!! WTF!!! is going on? I look down at the street in front of us, and the construction crew had finished for the day and had placed 4 large metal plates over the hole they dug in the one lane of the road. Traffic going over it in the far lane was hardly noticeable when they drove over the metal plates. But the lane closest to our condo, those ppl have a long straight away, and even tho the speed limit is only 30mph, most get up to 45 or so and with them :shocked:NOT SLOWING DOWN:yikes: and repeatedly hitting this one plate, it starts to move and causing the EXTREMELY LOUD THUNDEROUS 'BUMP BUMP' over and over again. When a large truck or something pulling a trailer would go over it, it was so loud, you could seriously 'FEEL' it inside the condo:yikes: :cus: :cus:

OK, we've played this game in the past, so I get on the phone, but low and behold, its after 5pm & Public Works is closed. Call the City Admin, sorry, their closed as well :cus::cus: Getting more pissed as time passes, I actually grab my ear plugs and put them in, but they hardly make a difference. Something, Someones gotta do something, cause I knew that if it stayed that way, I'd be get'n no sleep at all. So, I call the police non-emergency # and explain the situation, and the nice lady asked if I knew who was doing the work? Its not like they put out a big sign saying who they are, I mean, c'mon, its a construction crew thats now been long gone. So she guesses it must be the Kenton County Water & Sanitation Districe doing the work, and proceeds to give me their number. I call it and you guessed it, "Sorry, we're closed":cus::mad: Ahhhhh, but if this is an emergency, press this button. Well this is a F:cus:g Emergency so I do and finally get connected to a living human being. Takes my info & says we'll send someone out to check on it.

Getting more and more frustrated, I gear up the Tedster and we go for a ryde:doorag: We both needed that:thumbup: Gone about an hour, come back and nothings changed, all looks and sounds just the same as we left it. Maybe they hadn't been there yet???:dontknow: Are you freaking seriousnojoke Its now dark and I'm worried once again about not being able to get much needed sleep, so I call the emergency # again and ask what's going on? "Oh, he should be there any minute." OK, so Teddy and I sit out on the balcony so we can watch for who ever is coming to help:pray: About 20 minutes later, I see a white work truck pull up and park by the side of the road. I gear Teddy up for a walk, and we walk down to see what they plan on doing. When we get there, I see an older guy in the drivers seat talking on the phone, and I'm guessing his kid (maybe 15) in the passenger seat. I ask the kid what they can do, and he tells me they put some 'Cold Pack' around the edges of the plate, and that's all they can do. :yikes:HUH:yikes: It sounds the same nojoke The driver gets off the phone and I ask him what they are going to do, and he says, "Well, we put some 'cold pack' around it. There not paying me overtime and this isn't our construction job, so that's all we can do, have a good night." and he proceeds to drive off, with me standing there, jaw :yikes: dropped to the ground in disbeliefnojoke:cus:nojoke

No No No, I need to get some sleep damnit:lecturef_smilie::banghead::cus::banghead:

I was advised, due to 'Legal Implications' that I should probably not make any more further comment on this matter, seeing as this is an "Open, Public Forum" and sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do..... nuff said.

Man-oh-man, sure hope they get it fixed today. Do you have any friends that have a spare room for you and Teddy for sleeping?

Yes, my buddy has a spare room, but he works early also & I didn't want to wake him

Man-oh-man, sure hope they get it fixed today. Do you have any friends that have a spare room for you and Teddy for sleeping?
But I'll just say, I took care of the issue myself & didn't hear any crashing cars:shocked: tho some ppl just shouldn't be behind the wheel if they don't know how to negotiate traffic cones :lecturef_smilie::rolleyes: And the construction crew had it black topped over yesterday, so we got some sleep:yes::bowdown::yes:

Stopped by & we paid a visit with Stan in the rehab facility

Stan is looking much better & is starting to heal up, albeit slowly. Still in a wheel chair, but working on possibly getting onto crutches soon. Working with a walker as well. He was really happy to see Teddy & of course, we were stopped by just about every nurses station and groups of residents that we passed & Teddy was more than happy to give out lick'ns & pose for pics:yes::joke::doorag:

After 21 months is the Army, my Nephew has landed & is home for 3 weeks vaca

 Its funny saying my nephew, as he's exactly the same age as me (Jerry Springer family all the way :roflblack:) but he's made it safely home for 3 weeks of hard earned vacation. He's the first out of our family (that I'm aware of at least) to go into the military:thumbup: & he's a helicopter pilot:2thumbs: Pretty proud of him to say the least:bowdown: always worried tho:pray:

Trying to get the family together for tomorrows End of Summer WEBN FireWorks Celebration is always like pulling teeth, one reason or another, something always comes up to where we all can't get together. Usually only funerals brings out the entire clan, and as time passes, it seems there's more funerals and less ppl in attendance. Guess thats the way it goes tho :dontknow:

Fireworks

Went over to Dave N Teds to watch the fireworks. Great food, and company! Teddy was a gracious host, and had Dave grill the food. We had a little rain, but the fireworks went off, and the condo has an excellent vantage point to watch and stay dry.

Thanks to Dave and Ted for having me over!!!

Now, hopefully the rain will go away so we can get a ride in today!!

I forgot to ***WARN*** Dave about my Great Big Red Neck Family* But he survived-LOL

We had a little rain, but the fireworks went off, and the condo has an excellent vantage point to watch and stay dry. Thanks to Dave and Ted for having me over!!! Now, hopefully the rain will go away so we can get a ride in today!!

I had the security gate and the door propped open, as its a :joke:Party Atmosphere:joke: that everyone in our small condo community gets into, as all 26 of us have a pretty decent view for the end of the summer blow out of a Wonderful Pyrotechnics display put on by the world famous Rozzi's:bowdown: and they didn't dissapoint once again this year, out doing themselves year after year, all set to an Awesome musical soundtrack by our local Hard Rock Radio station, WEBN:bowdown:

I was at the kitchen counter, when in walked someone I had never seen before, so I knew it must've been Dave (shelbydave) on here. He walked right in and greeted me and introduced himself, and we hit it right off, and he soon got to meet Teddy for himself and in person:ohyea: making his wife, who didn't get to come, jealous back home. But soon my sister arrived and latched into him, as I had forgotten to warn him that she can sometimes, get long winded and not let your ear go:shocked::roflblack:

Still good times, and got to meet the new neighbor down stairs, along with his family, as he was having a party as well, and I openly invited all of them up for when the fireworks were shooting off, as naturally, being the unit above his, Teddy's place has a better view, and don't have the tree that he does, blocking our view. In years past, with my previous neighbors, I've always invited them up to watch, and one year, we ended up having his entire party, of about:yikes: 45 ppl :yikes:come up for the viewing :joke::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Good times :cheers::yes:

Found we should get along well with the new neighbor, as his new "NICE UNDERWEAR" door mat was a house warming gift from his sister, who I think fell in love with Teddy:rolleyes::doorag::ohyea: He's only 24 and works at a bar, and will usually be getting home about the time I'm getting up and leaving for work, so should work out well

The rain was off and on most the evening, but at 9:05pm, it was clear and the Fireworks display went off without a hitch, although durring the 45 minute show, it did rain here and there, but we were all nice and dry being in the comforts of the condo and on the covered balcony:cheers::joke::clap:

I just wish yesterday was dry, as I was hoping to get to ryde with Dave on his Spyder, and show him some of the 'twisties' we have around here, but it was off and on showers most the day, so we didn't hook up for a ryde, hopefully we can sometime this week tho:yes:

Dave even checked out the door, where Teddy 'Hudini' has been escaping from, and agreed, it wouldn't be easy for the lil guy to pull off, as we both gave the handle some jiggles and bangs and it just doesn't easily 'pop' open to where he could get it open, but we've all seen, he's doing it somehow. I've been trying to get an ICam App to work so we could spy on how the lil guy is doing it, but even after Dave looked at the Micro-Computer, we're thinking it doesn't have enough 'video' memory to pull it off, so I'm looking for another solution. But I'd bet $$ Teddy will be out and waiting for me when I get home from work today, as I could here him barking and jumping up against the door when I left this morning:rolleyes: so we'll see.

:yes:Hope everyone had a Great Holiday Weekend, as we did:cheers:

I bet Teddy's gonna be pizzed at me by the time I get home

After Teddy got done doing his business this morning, I took him up to his room with a few of his dog toys and said my good byes leaving him as usual with the fan & TV on, and the door solidly closed behind me.

Seeing as we were hosting a fair amount of ppl over the holiday weekend, I had rearranged the place to accomodate more ppl than usual, and in doing so, forgot where I had placed my 'work' bag and almost left without it this morning. After getting to the garage and Spyder I soon realized I didn't have my bag to put in the Frunk as usual, so I quickly made my way back inside and I could already hear Teddy 'Hudini' working his magic upstairs, barking and bouncing off the door, tho he hadn't gotten it opened just yet.

I knows he's gonna be mad at me, cause with rearranging everything, I put all of his treats and toys into one of his open topped carriers and put it next to Louie's cage (his pet Chinchilla) and he smartly discovered this last night and got out one of his treat balls. I'm sure he's thinking I would have left all those goodies there for him to get into, but thinking ahead this morning, I picked up the entire carrier of goodies and placed them up on top of the bar, where I knew he couldn't get to them if he had to:lecturef_smilie: But I'm sure he'll be able to sniff them out, and do his damndest to try :banghead::banghead::mad::cus: I swear, I've gotta get a cam working so we all can see the lil guys antics :roflblack::roflblack:

ShelbyDave got to experience 'The Tedsters' Star Power multiple times for himself

Dave is here local visiting his Moms in Florence KY, only about 15 minutes from where Teddy & I live and he came over and joined us on Sunday for the WEBN Fireworks End of Summer Blow Out Party:joke:

While I was here at work yesterday, I saw that he had posted a thread about wanting to get a travel cover for his RT. I had him help me put ours on Teds Red Sled the night he was over, cause I parked it out in the rain to free up garage space for other company. And he liked that it only took a minute to put on and covers everything important to cover. If any of you out there are on the fence about the RT Travel Cover, get off the fence and get it. Its pretty much all you really need to protect your investment, not only from the elements, but also prying eyes and hands. A person would be very bold and obvious to remove it to get to your sled, so its a good deterrant to keep hands off. Whats that saying about good fences make good neighbors and keeping the honest honest. I mean, if someone wants to steal your Spyder, a cover less alone almost nothing is really going to stop them, just MHO:dontknow: But this RT Travel Cover works very well for its intended use and is very user friendly.

As soon as I saw his post, I called our local dealer, Middletown Cycle and asked if they had any in stock, which they had one left for $129, so I asked them to hold it for us and let Dave know I found one for him. So, we conversed back and forth, and decided to meet at Teds Condo when I got off work yesterday & we'd ryde up to Middletown together, seeing as Dave has never been there and isn't all that familiar with the area.

Since it was at rush hour, I decided it best to avoid I75, cause its the leading artery out of the city, so instead we took back roads along the river (Rt8) to 275 & took the long way around, even going thru Indiana for a mile or two, making for a 70 mile jaunt that was a nice ryde.

Teddy was of course a hit with everyone at the dealer and Dave was able to get his RT Travel Cover without a hitch and we got to chit chat for a while with Aarron, the owner. He's still working on getting another Spyder Tech. so they can lessen the wait time for service, as it does take a while right now to get in, but they do a good job.

At every stop, Dave got to see how the ppl respond to Teddy, as almost every stop we were approached by (mostly) women with camera phone in hand, asking if they could snap a quick pic and asking questions and wanting to pet the lil ham, and of course, Teddy ate it up:doorag: Good Times:doorag::joke:
