ShelbyDave got to experience 'The Tedsters' Star Power multiple times for himself
Dave is here local visiting his Moms in Florence KY, only about 15 minutes from where Teddy & I live and he came over and joined us on Sunday for the WEBN Fireworks End of Summer Blow Out Party:joke:
While I was here at work yesterday, I saw that he had posted a thread about wanting to get a travel cover for his RT. I had him help me put ours on Teds Red Sled the night he was over, cause I parked it out in the rain to free up garage space for other company. And he liked that it only took a minute to put on and covers everything important to cover. If any of you out there are on the fence about the RT Travel Cover, get off the fence and get it. Its pretty much all you really need to protect your investment, not only from the elements, but also prying eyes and hands. A person would be very bold and obvious to remove it to get to your sled, so its a good deterrant to keep hands off. Whats that saying about good fences make good neighbors and keeping the honest honest. I mean, if someone wants to steal your Spyder, a cover less alone almost nothing is really going to stop them, just MHO:dontknow: But this RT Travel Cover works very well for its intended use and is very user friendly.
As soon as I saw his post, I called our local dealer, Middletown Cycle and asked if they had any in stock, which they had one left for $129, so I asked them to hold it for us and let Dave know I found one for him. So, we conversed back and forth, and decided to meet at Teds Condo when I got off work yesterday & we'd ryde up to Middletown together, seeing as Dave has never been there and isn't all that familiar with the area.
Since it was at rush hour, I decided it best to avoid I75, cause its the leading artery out of the city, so instead we took back roads along the river (Rt8) to 275 & took the long way around, even going thru Indiana for a mile or two, making for a 70 mile jaunt that was a nice ryde.
Teddy was of course a hit with everyone at the dealer and Dave was able to get his RT Travel Cover without a hitch and we got to chit chat for a while with Aarron, the owner. He's still working on getting another Spyder Tech. so they can lessen the wait time for service, as it does take a while right now to get in, but they do a good job.
At every stop, Dave got to see how the ppl respond to Teddy, as almost every stop we were approached by (mostly) women with camera phone in hand, asking if they could snap a quick pic and asking questions and wanting to pet the lil ham, and of course, Teddy ate it up:doorag: Good Times:doorag::joke:
