Totally drag'n butt today, but it was OH SO WORTH IT!!! Thanks to ALL of YOU

2am came really quickly this morning:shocked::coffee:I can't say that I'm totally awake just yet. The sun actually made an appearance on our way home from SITA, and my face ended up being as red as Teddys Mow-Hawk :doorag: except for of course where my half helmet and shades covered, so yeah, I look even more funny than usual :roflblack::roflblack: But hey, I'm here at least .......

On a more positive note, I really appreciate the pics of Teddy that others of you have posted and would really enjoy it if anyone else with pics of the lil star would share them here as well, for all of us to enjoy!

I have no clue how many times pics were taken of the lil Star, but to say a thousand wouldn't be a long shot at all:shocked: seriously :doorag: We were even left behind a couple of times on rides cause it was taking us forever, but no fear, Randy quickly came to our rescue and let us know where they were and waited for us:2thumbs: Thanks buddy:bowdown: All a day in the Lyfe :doorag:

I keep telling KentuckyGuy we need a celebrity at the Kentucky ride. Teddy is just what we need. We can make him part of our flyer.

GO FOR IT - You know Teddys always willing to help in any way he can = treats

I keep telling KentuckyGuy we need a celebrity at the Kentucky ride. Teddy is just what we need. We can make him part of our flyer.
We plan on attending, so just let me know if you need pics of him or anything else that you may need

So disoriented this morning-Working 12s after a long trip is kinda hard to get used 2

:coffee: Trying to get back into routine/rythem, but its not what it was when we left :coffee: After I got off work yesterday, went home expecting to have a mess to clean up from Teddy being in his bedroom for 13 hours, but nope, he was a good boy and waited all that time for me to get home and take him out:clap::bowdown::clap: He's such a good dog :firstplace: I played with him for about an hour and gave him his food (HypoAlergenic Kibble) and I thought for sure he was gonna turn his nose up at it after Mike & Randy & the gang from SITA were all feeding him RibEye, PrimeRib, Steak & Eggs:bbq::thumbup: but no, he went right for it and gobbled it up. After feeding and playing, we both crashed on the couch for a couple of hours of desperately needed sleep:shocked:

Got back up around 8 and geared the Tedster up and off to University Hospital we went to visit our buddy (& fellow SpyderLover SporterSpyder) Stan, after he had been in a head on collision on his 2 wheeler the day before. I wasn't sure what to expect, as his daughter had only posted that he was in a head-on wreck & had to be Air-Lifted to the hospital:yikes: Coz had already stopped by earlier in the day, so I'm sure he was happy to see a couple more of his ryding buddies, including Teddy. He's not nearly as bad as it could have been, only a broken leg, fractured pelvis and a few cracked ribs, but no head or internal (soft tissue) injuries that they could find. He was sitting up and in good spirits when we arrived, tho he's not very mobile at all. We talked for a bit, and he relayed what he remembered about the accident, which was not alot considering he was almost immediately knocked unconscious upon impact. He was on his 2 wheeler, sitting at a light waiting for it to change so he could turn. Another vehicle (no clue what kind) came up over the hill and into his lane and crashed into him head on:yikes: knocking him and his bike back into the car behind him and subsequently the bike went over breaking his right leg and knocking him unconscious, waking up in the hospital:yikes: I think any of us that ride, fear this very scenerio, I know I do:shocked: He's lucky that he was just sitting there and not going forward adding to the momentum, or it may have been much much worse:pray::bowdown::pray: He's thinking he may be able to leave the hospital today and go to a rehab facility to begin his healing process, which is going to take some time for sure:bowdown: I'm sure getting some lick'ns from Teddy helped to lift his spirits  and Teddy and I are both keeping him in our prayers for a speddy & complete recovery.

After visiting with Stan, we went for a nice lil ryde around town so Teddy could get his Spyder fix in for the day, and then back home we went. So tired, I've still yet to unpack the camper or anything of that nature. I'm so discombobulated right now, as I'm out of my Adderall for ADHD and without that, I can barely keep anything straight (just ask Randy or Holly:roflblack:) and I went to disconnect the camper from the Spyder, but I can't find the damn key for the hitch lock anywhere:shocked: so I'm still ryding around with the loaded camper in tow  I know the keys will turn up sometime, just hope its sooner than later:rolleyes: And yes Randy, I looked on my bag where I told you I was putting them in case I forgot, but there not there, I double checked:sour::( I go to my docs today after work to get my script refilled, so hopefully this will all soon come to pass with a good laugh :ohyea: We got to bed around 11pm and I woke up around 1:50am just freaking out, thinking I missed hearing the alarm and was late for work. Mind you, I'm NOT used to having to get up at 2am for work, as I usually only work 8s and get up at 4:45am, so this has just got me all messed upnojoke BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING, I'M THANKFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET OT, as our entire plant is actually hiring for the 1st time in over 12 years, so that we can eliminate ALL OT, so its take it while you can get it, and I Am:clap:

Huh? Keys? What keys???? ........... Oh yeah, those keys ........ ummmmmmm

Key??? Did you find the keys?

 NO  I'm at work now, and I know their not here, so the search will continue once I get home  I'm bet'n their in the pocket of something I've stuffed somewhere in the camper:pray: yeah, good luck to me finding anything in there

Holly said you put them on a key ring with your other keys, she said she watched you put it there. :popcorn:Hope you find it.

I did, I know I did, but then I went to unhook the Camper as soon as we got home, but

Holly said you put them on a key ring with your other keys, she said she watched you put it there. :popcorn:Hope you find it.

I couldn't get the lock to slide out of the whole and I was too tired to fight it, so I let it be and I have no clue what I did with the keys after that :dontknow: But I know they are NOT where they were:lecturef_smilie::rolleyes: Its ALL GOOD tho, they'll turn up sometime

Still haven't found the dang keys yet & still cruising with the camper

I actually had two different co-workers come up to me yesterday & this is how the conversation went, with both of them:dontknow::rolleyes::roflblack:

"Dude, did you sell your condo?"

"No, why would you ask that?"

"Cause I've seen your camper out in the lot every day and your always here so I figured you mighta sold your condo & now your living in the parking lot" he said with a good :roflblack::roflblack:

I'm working 12 hour shifts from 3am-330pm so ppl arn't used to seeing me here at these odd hours, so I can understand why they may think this. In years past, it has really happened, where a guy would end up getting divorced or something, lose the house and be working 7days a week, 12 hours a day, so they'd actually just sleep in a camper in the parking lot:lecturef_smilie::dontknow::shocked:

:dontknow:Gotta find those dang keys

I know the feeling, I work right across the street from you, and we do a lot of 12's.

We aughta meet for lunch:bbq::popcorn::bbq:

I still can't believe we've been working across the street from each other for so long, and we've still not run into each other, heck, I still haven't even met you at one of the meet-n-greets on Sundays:dontknow::roflblack:

I can take lunch :bbq:between 10 & 11 but usually just stay here, but if you'd like to meet sometime, just let me know & I'll PM you my contact info if Coz or someone else hasn't already given it to you yet :dontknow:

Slide by a good locksmith. He should be able to pick the lock and make you a couple of new keys. Note that I said "a couple." Always keep a spare in the cupboard...and maybe another in your pocket, especially on a trip.

Hi Dave Sorry bout the key. Did ya check your wallet? I have a spare for the bike there. I did A 3 hr look for my trailer keys:yikes:!!! while in Ks!!nojoke on the way to Durango......... found em in my pocket:opps: after three hrs of going back over the road I'd just come on looking at the sides to see if they were there at the side of the road somewherenojoke:opps:. Amazing the things one does when one loses the KEY!!!!! good luck on that one. BUT you WILL find it in a spot not normally used. Just hope you didn't drop it WAAAAYYYYY back there!!! Just have to DUMP EVERYTHING out all over the place...... one place at a time.:helpsmilie:

THE LOCK

Or, considering what a locksmith vs. cost of new lock....I would stop at a Fire Station and just ask them to cut it off....I'm sure "teddy" can smile and convince them........Mike....

Whats that old saying, about 'We Hold The Keys In Our Hands Without Even Knowing It'

OK, since we've been back from New York, the week so far has just been one BIG blur, with working 12s every day and no AC here at work, I've been pretty much useless once the work days over and I hit the couch, its been game over. I kept telling myself that I need to get stuff unpacked and find those dang keys, but after playing with Teddy for a while, we'd both just crash on the couch til its time to wake up and do it all over again:shocked::coffee::coffee::coffee::bdh: kinda reminds me of that movie 'GroundHog Day' :banghead:

So I figured, stop fighting it and just go with it, knowing this is only temporary and I'll be back to a regular schedule soon enough, and wishing once again I was able to get OT.

So instead of trying to fight my 'laziness:rolleyes:' I just went with it and decided to try things for the opposite approach. Instead of trying to get things done 'AFTER' a long day at work, I decided last night that I'd just set my alarm a half hour earlier and give myself 30 minutes a day to get stuff done, before going to work:p But, that meant that I'd now have to get up at:yikes:  1:30am  :yikes: Have I ever told you that I'm :banghead:NOT:banghead: a morning person :lecturef_smilie: In a previous life, I wouldn't usually even go to bed til around 4 or 5 in the morning, but yeah, thats history:( So anyways, I actually got myself up at 1:30 this morning, and I really messed with Teddys mind:helpsmilie:poor lil guy:chill: as he thought we were going on another road-trip:yes::yes: and then cruel reality set in :banghead::mad::banghead::mad:

So at 1:30 this morning, I take the Tedster out to do his 'business' like we usually do in the morning, but instead of heading right back in and up to his bedroom for the day, I leave him on his lead attatched to the garage so he can watch me as I start unpacking the camper, all awhile, pray'n that I'll come across my misplaced keys so I can actually leave the camper at the house. I figured if I put him upstairs that he'd be able to hear me rummaging around outside, and that would ilicit him to start barking, wanting my attention & that wouldn't be a good thing at 2 in the morning:lecturef_smilie: especially considering I have a brand new neighbor that lives directly below me that just moved in yesterday & I haven't even met him yet. So with him watching as I unpack and search, he's thinking :yes: WHOO HOOO, ANOTHER ROAD TRIP:yes::yes:

So I get the camper mostly unloaded but still no keys:dontknow: DAMNIT!!!:banghead: Getting frustrated, I tried once again retracing my steps. As Randy & Holly confirmed, I knew I placed the keys on my computer bag with the rest of the keys, but once I got home from SITA, I tried removing the lock from the hitch, only to find it stuck, so I knew I had them in hand at that time, so what did I do with them after that???:hun:

TBC..... work ..................

Hey Dave.............I agree with Mike to just have the lock cut off and buy a new one....... less trouble in the long run. That way you will find the key in no time!:roflblack:

'We Hold The Keys In Our Hands Without Even Knowing It' *** Part II

So there we are out in our condo's parking lot at 2am and mostly in the dark and I try remembering exactly what I did the last time I can remember having the keys in hand. I put the key in the lock and unlocked it, but the lock wouldn't move, being bound by the coupling, no matter how hard I tried wiggling it, it wouldn't budge.

I remember I was in a hurry, as I was on the way to work when I first tried this, thinking it would be a simple process as usual, unlock, unhook from Teds Red Sled and roll the camper over to its parking spot, then off to work I'd go.

So I remembered that much, but what happend next? I was frustrated and out of time, I remember thinking that I had no more time to fight with it, so I had just as well lock it back, and leave it be and take the camper with me, no big deal, just not needed and a waste of gas, so that's what I did. But where did I put those damn keys????:dontknow::hun::dontknow:

For those of you that have since commented about locksmiths & firemen cutting it off, I appreciate your offerings of help, but the camper was the least of our issues, as the key-ring that the key was on that worked for the hitch-lock, also had ALL of my other keys on it as well:banghead::helpsmilie::banghead:

Luckily :opps:me being me:opps: and growing up with ADHD all of my life, but just not knowing it and school just labeling me as a :lecturef_smilie:'BAD KID':lecturef_smilie: I've learned through a lifetime of trial and error of how easily it is for me to get sidetracked, lose things, miss appointments ETC. ETC...... you get the point:popcorn:

So as I was saying, I luckily had spare keys stashed here and there that still allowed me access to everything else, besides this one damn lock, cause it was brand new & I had just purchased it while in New York, so no time to hide the spare away:banghead: I even remember telling Randy & Holly, "Hey look, I'm putting this key-ring on my computer bag here in the Frunk, just in case I can't find it later, you can remind me:clap: Hey, at least I tried to help myself, right :opps::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

TBC.... more work work work

Part III

So I'm looking around and thinking, kinda going thru the steps again in my head, where would I have laid those keys? My original thought was that I must've put them in a coat or pants pocket and their still there in the laudry room or hanging up, but no such luck.

So while I'm standing there dumbfounded, Teddy is starting to get a bit ansy, thinking we're leaving on another road-trip and he starts his little whining, as if to say, "Let me off this damn lead and lets hit the road, dad!" Trying to be mindful that its 2 in the morning and I have a new neighbor who's condo is at parking level, I give in to Teddys whimpering and take him....
