• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was just reading a new copy of Rider Magazine and thinking about when my RT will be able to come out of it's rest period. Probably not going to be any time soon. It is currently 6 degrees below zero with a wind chill of -40 here in sunny, southern Minnesota. Tonight it is supposed to be -23 with a wind chill of -59. Luckily, we are not having the snow that the folks in the east are having.

If you keep that kind of talk up all those southern folks will be heading north to get in on a real winter paradise. :ohyea::ohyea:

Bummer..!!

that is cold..if you spit it will freeze in mid air..but hopefully it will be a short season. It's not how cold it gets..it's how long it stays that cold...

Hang in there. As a former Minnesotan (Duluth, MN) I remember those below zero times well. You folks seem to be getting the cold stuff. We have a foot and a half of snow on the ground and it was 30 degrees above zero today in Chugiak Alaska. No, I don't want to trade.

Even though the snow limits riding, I do like the seasons and get excited about a good blast of snow and cold. Though some of those Northern Plains winter temps are more extreme than I am accustomed to. Nothing against the Florida/Louisiana folks, but I would rather ride in 35 degrees than 90 degrees+ and 90% humidity.

Yikes, not even electric liners would help for long!

Talked to an old guy yesterday after church and he's lived here for 50+ years and has never seen temps this cold. I don't know how much of the "Global Warming" I can stand. :joke:
