• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check out my Can Am Trailer

I drove a set of doubles (2 28’ van trailers with a connecting gear between them) for about 6 months. While they CAN be backed up a short distance, they get out of line pretty quickly. Normal practice is to break the set and back each wagon separately. Don’t know that it would be any different even with little trailers, but it would make quite a sight!

That’s a very cool little trailer! Congrats!

Bob

We used to hook 3 or 4 of the four wheel hay trailers together and pull them to the barn with one tractor. Pulling them to the barn is no problem, but backing them is impossible. We would disconnect them at the barn and push them in one at the time with the tractor while somebody guided the trailer tongue. Even backing one four wheel trailer is fairly difficult, much worse than backing a two wheel trailer.

I finally downloaded the pictures from the camera in the shop. Been so busy ain't had time to do much extra. Been getting plenty of use out of the little trialer. Still ain't had time to build a tailgate for it, but it will get done.

On second and third read, I came up with a memory from days gone by. The wood on the trailer caused it.

Anyone remember the famous 2 x "floors." ??? They were wooden versions of Spyder floor boards before the "Seals" (I purchased two sets of Seals), and before BRP started making them OEM.

I very much like your trailer. The $3K price tag prevented me from going with trailers.

What $3K price tag? I built that for less than $200.

I bought one of the three remaining Harbor Freight Tag Along trailers years ago. I don't recall exactly what I paid for mine but it was a steal. I should have bought the other two but hindsight is 20/20. The last I checked someone was making them and selling for 3 times what HF sold them. You can still buy the HF trailer and a car top carrier separately for a reasonable price and assemble one yourself.

Harbor Freight still got the DIY trailers. Got most everything except the body, and that is easy. Would save a lot of work to have all new parts.

Not a bad price. $400 for all new parts. Would have saved me some time, but I already had a damaged trailer to work with.
