• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need to remove the trailer hitch ball from the BRP hitch. I can't get it off. I about gave myself a hernia trying to wrench it off . Is there any special trick?

Thanks.....

wear a weight lifters belt :roflblack: { hahahaha sorry , but I have had too use a very large crescent adjustable wrench and a rubber mallet , just too pop these loose , it is the lock split washer on bottom that is the holder of this deal } remember , turn head and cough , too check that hernia

Thank you for the kind words :yikes::yikes:. Will take a break and tackle it later.

you need leverage Long pipe or wrench. Impact gun could possibly help too if on hand..
believe its 36 mm or at least mine is..

:agree: with the pipe tactic! :2thumbs:

Archimedes once said: "Give me a place to stand and with a lever I will move the whole world."

If it was installed per the instructions, then red Loctite was used on it. Good luck with.

PS. And torqued to 160 ft-lbs.

Soak it over night with penetrating oil, smack the nut a half a dozen times on each side with a hammer, and of course a cheater bar. If none of that works, heat it up...it'll come off

I used my 1/2" air impact and it came right of, but if that didn't work I would have used 1" black water pipe over the breaker bar handle. At lease twice I have had to used a 5' long pipe to get a nut off :yikes:

I showed my bro, Stony Rodent, this thread because he was gonna remove my hitch ball this week. I was afraid it was gonna be a bear to do. Then he shows up in the kitchen this morning with the ball. He wedged a pry-bar underneath so the nut couldn't turn and turned the ball with a 2-ft crescent wrench. Easy peasy!
